How does this work??

Hey
I have chatted with some guys at an NZ gaming forum and one of them got very excited by my multi-mon setup. So he just stuck 2 17" either side of of his 22" WS and stuck in an old 7950 (in addition to his GTX285) and hey presto he had multi mon in BFBC2 BETA. How come that works?

I was already running a 22" WideScreen and a 17" off my GTX285. Chucked an old 7950GT I had lieing around into another slot and banged a second spare 17" LCD I found in my cudboard onto that, booted up, Windows 7 downloaded ~120Mb of drivers for the grafics card automatically and bo-yucka! 3 desktops.
Shuffled them around into the correct order, edited the settings.ini file for BFBC2 and shazzam!! 30-40FPS @ 4240x1024 (Have now VSynced it to 30FPS though)

I am wondering if I should upgrade the 7950GT to a 9800GT or since they are only like $150 though, to see if I can get the FPS up (was enjoying the 60FPS I was getting from the GTX285 running one screen)

It's in windowed mode. I can do the same thing with Counter Strike Source without using a surround resolution.

I am doing the same thing with WoW, Eve, HL2 and burnout paradise in windowed mode but I am using a surround resolution (custom resolution added via nvidia control panel and a bit of powerstrip monitor driver tweaking).
