Which is the Best Computer Gaming Company?
First off, DO NOT RECOMMEND OR SUGGEST ME BUILDING MY OWN PC. I DO NOT WANT TO.
OK, now that was said, which is the best company to buy from? Digital Storm, Maingear, Alienware, Velocity Micro, Stealth Machines or Origin PC?
PS if you do not know any of these companies, Google them. Thanks
My vote goes to Digital Storm. What do you guys think?
Also vote in the poll if you can.

To throw others into the mix...
Falcon North West

It might help if you tell us where you are located or even the country you intend purchasing the system from.

You can always buy the seperate parts adn take them to a computer store to have it put together and tested. Some parts website put them together, too.
It's really not so hard.
But, Alienware is the only on I've heard of. But you pay for the name, too.

The last Alienware system I saw a review of was amazing, lights that come on when you open your tower up, very strong performance and of course... massive pricetag.
I would get one, if the technical support is what you are after, but like others have said, you take a big bill of parts and add a fat wedge to it for the case, "workmanship" and warranty/ support.

A few more:
Pudget Custom Computers
IBUYPOWER
CYBERPOWER PC
I can't actually recommend any of these listed in this thread but may I ask why you do not want to build your own?

because i dont know where to take the parts to for building it. would best buy build it for me if i give them the parts?
Re: Which is the Best Computer Gaming Company?
If you live in US near a microcenter they can build computers and also sell prebuilt from shelf ones.
You should check your yellowpages for local computer shops and look for little ones, they are likely to assemble stuff. I am not sure best buy would.

Google/bing is your friend bud!! Seriously I would research, order the parts, and put it together. I love building pc's, I would help you out just for fun. When that big box of parts gets dropped off from ups its like christmas when you were 5 years old... all of the latest and greatest stuff... man I dont know maybe its just me.
You should do yourself a favor and learn (which isnt hard) its a great thing to be able to do and will save you a boat load of cash. I know thats not the anwser you are looking for but its just my take on it.

Re: Which is the Best Computer Gaming Company?
I would say alienware but then that's the only one I know of from that list ;)
however if you want an opinion, I couldn't myself go back to NOT building my own computer
I mean ... even alienware doesn't let you have the choice in all parts ...
I wouldn't trade my current very silent case for another less silent one for example ...
For me those companies are for people who :
-don't have the luxury of time
-need support services (since buying parts here & there means relying on yourself for any problem) but then any computer shop should be able to have a look at any computer to try & fix it for a price ...
-don't know exactly what they want in their computer except for a general idea of how much power it should have...

Seeing as how you'd probably save a few hundred bucks if you built your own, wouldn't you say it's well worth your time?
I got a new computer recently, it only took me about a day of researching all which parts to get.. and I didn't feel bad either (except about the audio of which I have very little clue )

Err that's not really what I meant. I'm sure you could find someone (probably a local shop) to build it for ~$100 or so, but really do you make over $20/hour? Because it wouldn't take more than a few hours of reading/assembling to do it your self.
Re: Which is the Best Computer Gaming Company?
From that list, the only name I really know is Alienware.
However, I've always built my own - the markup on custom built game rigs is significant. With the money you save you could easily upgrade your video card, etc.
It used to be a bit tricky building a PC back in the day. The new systems are very easy, especially with jumperless motherboards, SATA connections and modular power sources. It's very easy and things are labelled neatly. New cases have all kinds of nice features like removable drive bays, quick connects for the tower lights/USB/firewire, wire routing channels, etc.
If you can build a lego airplane and you can grip a smallish screwdriver and follow basic instructions, you can do it. :D It is worth the effort and you will gain better understanding of your PC in return. This can help with troubleshooting.
If you are worried about it or unsure, why not try half-way? Research the parts you need and buy them from an OEM supplier. Ask them to install the motherboard and CPU in the case. Assemble the rest yourself. It's easy.
Good luck!
