All monitors produce some kind of radiation that can harm you and by using three monitors isn't that 3x more dangerous than using one?

Well, CRTs are the monitors you really needed to worry about...

...except I seriously won't bother worrying about a computer monitor, with all the other radiation we're constantly bombarded with. Think about it:

- radiowaves
- microwaves
- WiFi (other peoples, if not your own)
- infrared
- ultraviolet

- low level background radioactivity (in the ground) (alpha/beta/gamma radiation)
- x-rays

Seriously, we're constantly being hit with all sorts of radiation. None of it we can do anything about, as they're ubiquitous.

According to who? IMHO, you're grossly oversimplifying matters. LCDs emit nothing like CRTs. The tech is totally different. :hide

Yes.

I regularly miss sleep due to not being able to stop playing games. Serious health issue.

I closed my eyes last night and all I saw was segments of games running through my head... that would happen if I did a marathon 12+ hour lotro session, but I only played for like 3 hours... with so much more visual stimulus I think the effect happens more quickly.. not really a health hazard per say.. but thought I would mention it.

Not to mention that excessive gaming make you unattractive to women.

I had four relatives over about two weeks ago to have a go at a racing simulation on Eyefinity (3 x 28" LCD). Two of them had to stop after about 15 minutes as they were starting to get physically ill due to the motion in the side screens. I would say it was a sim related field of view problem, or something to that effect, but this particular racing simulation has already recognized the 3-screen rigs, and has it's own internal setup for bezel correction and field of view configuration.

Never had a problem with it myself, but they sure did. Somewhat disappointing.
