After experimenting, Ive noticed this game is ALOT better with 3x1 portrait. Not only is the HUD problem much better, but the space is actually well used. Most of the action in DoW2 is condensed into one screen, and peripheral vision is pretty useless. Having 3x1 portrait is like having a 40" screen with tons of pixels.
Ive posted pics here to compare:

There's already a thread for this, can we merge it please... use search next time.
Also the squad screen (single player campaign) is completely busted which makes it unusable for the campaign.
Yeah, but to clarify for others its the change team members section of the campaign (2d) map view, not the tactical (3d rts) parts. I played half the game without noticing! Then I used to change res to change the squad members, change res to triplehead and play for a while more.
Cant believe they never bothered fixing it, several of us here highlighted it ages back.
I don't think you can customize the inventory or level up your characters while you are in triple monitor resolution, which basically means you'd have to swap resolutions between every missions in single player.
Also I was playing coop and couldn't switch resolutions without disconnecting from the other player because they didn't let you edit your options in the campaign screen. Far too aggravating.
The game itself is good though, worth getting the THQ Pack at 50% off on Steam if you don't have most of those games already.
Zoom mods have been around for CoH, which has a far more competitive community. Nobody seemed to have put a stop to that either, despite it being FAR more advantageous in that game.
DoW2 takes alot of up-close micro, and being zoomed out too far makes that really difficult. The game also has artificial limits to FoV, and units will disappear if zoomed out too much, or be obscured in fog.
Are you guys having any kind of frame rate issues? My framerate would drop all the way down to 8-9 fps and stay there (from the normal 40-50 fps). Sometimes ALT-TAB out and back in recovers the framerate, sometimes it recovers by itself. But then it will happen randomly again. Anyone knows anything about this issue?
