Hello everyone.
Last week I've bought the th2g-de, and receiving my 7x64 I've decided it was time setting it all up.
What's the simpliest way to install win7x64 and achieve 5040 ?
using gtx280, btw :-)
thanks in advance

Welcome.

There are fixes in this thread you should take a look at http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=14366

Checking out any of the stickies and most recent threads in the TH2GO forum should also provide you with a decent number of techniques to try out.

Unfortunately at the moment your success can't be guaranteed, just keep at it, most have found solutions after putting the effort in. If at first you don't succeed, don't panic and try again.

Well, only setup that works for me so far is:
Vista x64, GTX280 using 182.50 drivers, PD 2.06, latest firmware as of today.
No other setup works :-(

That stinks. It has been frustrating for a lot of people trying to get this to work. If ATI announces bezel management anytime in the near future, I'll probably just switch to one of their new cards and use Eyefinity.

And who knows, maybe NVidia will announce a similar feature in their new cards. NFinity maybe?? :D

I tried 195.81 beta for kicks on W7 x67 295GTX, same issue as previous release, for me. Just errors out when trying to apply the 5040x1050 resolution.

182.50 just works.

as expected - not working.
haven't even installed the new beta driver for some unknown reason (clean windows7 ultimate x64 install).

If i exchange my GTX280 with a 4870x2 (or some 5XXX card), will I be able to do 5040 ?
Has anyone in this forum been able to do 5040 with a configuration like mine (or similar)?

i7 920 on x58 mb (ex58-ud5)
12GB ddr3 1333
GTX280
3xsamsung 2243bw

i7 920 on EVGA x58 SLI LE
6GB DDR3
295GTX
3x Dell 2209WA

I've only gotten it to work on W7 x64 with 182.50 WHQL driver. I don't want to try the 191 series, and the 195 definitely doesn't work.

thanks for the support.
i've gone and bought a 5870 to replace my GTX280.
Hopefully ATI is doing a better job then nVidia supporting the gamers and enabling us to use the 5040.
still gonna try and use the th2g to do that, till i'll see the eyefinity working :-)

I used to wonder if it was an i7 thing. I run 5040 on every single version of Windows from XP to 7 with the latest drivers no problems whatsoever, but my processors are Q8300, Q9550, and i5 750.
