ok so i already know ppl can run ati + nvidia cards for dedicated physX in win7 but the question is -

will it work with eyefinity lol

also, will it benefit from most games?
- left 4 dead
- far cry 2
- source
- cod 4 & 5
- plus more i cant think of right now

anyone tried it yet? i know GenL made some mod to run it with the new nvidia drivers or something since nvidia disabled it, would it corrupt the 5870 while in eyefinity?

lol i wanna try it with this 9500gt i got as a spare..

Well it is only beneficial to PhysX based games.

So basically this whole HUGE list of games. [oh wait]

The only two which really benefit from it are Batman:AA and Mirrors edge. UT3 has a few multiplayer PhysX only maps too.

If you are going to be playing any of those games extensively go for it, otherwise its not worth the trouble.

It should work just fine with eyefinity.

Yeah, Nvidia are douchebags for disabling it when their drivers see a non nvidia (read: ati) card in the system though. Nice to see that you can dance around that limitation though.

I find it deeply irritating that you need such a convoluted 'patch' to get around a limitation that shouldn't be there in the first place, though. It never used to be. :x

so can someone confirm that the 5870 + standalone Nvidia GPU (for Physx with nothing connected to it) and 3 x LCDs in Eyefinity setup (all connected to the 5870 of course) work ?
