Has anyone tried this on triple screen yet? They have had multiple beta weekends and I'm itching to pre-order it, but its really going to suck if its just single screen compatible!

I've been playing in beta and while the game will allow you to access 5040 x 1040 (in my case), it is very difficult to play due to the fact the camera will not pan back far enough (even on max distance settings) to give you a good sense of depth.

yeah they camera is awful even for my liking on a single 1680x1050 screen

Maybe there is a command to expand the camera even more like you can do in WoW. Don“t know the command and Aion eather but try asking in there forum might help.

Just for grins, I sent in a ticket to NCSoft as the official forums aren't back up until the next beta play session. I asked if it was possible to look into the camera distance and got the following response:
Modifying the camera follow distance beyond what the game has hard coded is not possible. The best bet is to provide a suggestion on the Beta forums so the developers can consider making changes. Please let us know if you have further questions.
So basically the resolution is supported but everything in-game appears so up close. I wonder if there's an .ini file that can be modified to change the camera distance?

Aion appears to be rendering the game in a VERT- fashion across multiple monitors, which is extremely disappointing.
To see the problem, look here for screenshots and description:
http://www.aionsource.com/forum/images-art-video-sound/14909-aion-5040x1050-warning-large-files-10.html
From the screenshots above, it appears that your field-of-view when running 1680x1050 x3 would be equivalent to someone running one monitor 1680x350! Meaning, you gain no more horizontal information than a single monitor setup, and you lose 1/3 of the vertical information.
If anyone can confirm differently, please do.
I'm going to file a bug report on the official forums this weekend. I'll post a link here when I do, so please pile on and let them know this is a problem.

Nice work mancur and I'll definitely be submitting a report this weekend as well. Hopefully the devs fix this.

EDIT (7245891274891) looks like the FoV does increase in the WS setting in game at least, without vert-
at least to my eyes :P

Gilly, I assume you're running triple-screen? If so, do you have a screenshot of 5040x1050 also? That's where the VERT- is coming into play.
Thanks.

Hey guys,
The widescreen Bug Report on the beta forums has been posted!
To all who are interested, please add your voice so we can show NCSoft there are a number of people greatly disappointed by this.

So, if NCSoft never fixes this, what are the chances of either making a 3rd party utility or modifying an existing one to correct for the FOV?
I think there was already an external fix for the Crytek engine (Far Cry), which Aion is based on.
Any ideas?

I tried the Crytek engine fix developed for Far Cry and didn't have any luck

I really hope that the release version fixes this. I'm not looking for an advantage just a decent widescreen scaling solution.

Regarding 3rd party fixes, I've heard that Game Guard is easily bypassed so I'm sure it can be done.

I sent in a ticket to ncsoft regarding this issue and I suggest everyone do the same.
I am awaiting a response...
It is quite disappointing that this highly anticipated title has this kind of a problem, I was really looking forward to playing this game via 3 monitors
