Hi there,

On a whim, this morning I re-installed "The Thing" (well, I never finished the game). I have the European version, patched to 1.20.

According to this report, there is no widescreen support or hack for the game:

Yet when I installed the game, I straight away got the option to select a resolution of '1680 x 1050'.

Weird, eh?

Hey, ive never finished that game too :lol: , btw maybe "This game offers no widescreen support" = vert- game. :wink:

It was probably that no support was available in the unpatched version. Can you post some comparison shots or possibly a DR?

Might be the patch that did it.

I don't remember applying a patch, and I was only offered the standard gamut of 4:3 resolutions...

Yes after installing the patch 1.20. There are available resolution panoramic. The problem is that the image is stretched!
