Picked up a copy. THe few reviews I've seen ahve been pretty promising. I was thinking of doing a DR for it, but I'm a little lazy and unsure of coverage. That, and i cun't get 1920 height..
Anywho, it seems to be HOR+.
The only wide resolutions i saw in-game were 1440x900, 1680x1050,. and it detected my custom 1680x945.
A quick look found no config files other than the one stored in My DocPrototype, but hopefully one can be foudn for tweaking, etc. and more resolutions.
I have comparison screens but I'm sure a proper DR will be up before long.
Umm i cun't say much to the quality of the game itself, other than it runs quite well with settings maxed, 16af & 4xaa. But it starts off pretty quick and looks like lots of fun.
PS - AF is forced through Nvidia panel, the in-game graphics options are few: Resoluion, vsync, shadow, texture, AA quality settings....
PPS - okay, a single screen.

I presume that the resolution settings are saved in here which is sadly not plain text :(

I had a quick look, and I was able to select the following widescreen resolutions in the game's video options menu:
1280x720
1280x800
1440x900
1680x1050
1920x1080
1920x1200
I haven't tested or done screenshots though.

Thanks. Odd that the game won't show me those smaller resolutions, when other games can without issue... Good thing i have no desire to use them.
From the readme:
Cards with less than 1024 MB cannot access resolutions with widths of greater than 1600 or heights of 1080. This means with a card of LESS THAN 1024MB VRAM has these available:
The following are only available for cards with 512MB VRAM or more:
1280 x 1024
1440 x 900
1600 x 1200
1680 x 1050
1920 x 1080
1920 x 1200
2048 x 1152
2048 x 1536
2560 x 1600
Odd, seeing as i have 512mb vram and can access and run resolution greater than 1600 wide.
Oh and.. *cough* a no-cd crack is available, too.

From Abram's screenshot I presume it's anamorphic? Which unless it goes all Riddick on us, would mean no love for TH resolutions.
And that snippet from the readme made absolutely no sense.

I believe he just got a screenshot at a bad time. I'm trying it out in 4:3 and its NOT anamorphic. In game Cinematics are, and then the black bars just shrink away once its over. I believe thats what you see in the screenshot.
Also Yeah I have noticed a number of people complaining that they cannot get certian resolutions from the ingame menu. Some people are limited to 1280x800 most likely due to not having enough VRAM, but others are limited to the higher up spectrum. I myself cannot get 1280x960, which is this CRT's optimal resolution, But I can get 1280x1024, 1280x800,720 and oddly 1280x768.
Fuck resolution lists, Learn to just grab them from the registry, its easier not having to directly support resolutions if you try to support everything.

Ya, it was bad timing. I was taking shot to compare to 4:3, but the other times i waited too long and got a rocket in thr face before i could get a screen...
No amamorphy.
The game is LOTS of fun. I havne't discovered even half the powered yet but i spent 3 hours just running aroudn destroyiing things. I only played a single mission.
I can almost toss a person from one bridge to another... Almost.

Do You play with KB+M or a Controller Abram?
Without a controller this game isnt all that great :(
And I'm sure adding a controller does not fix the horrible horrible camera :/

I don't know how much help i will be to the situation, but I have the steam version of the game. If anyone needs files or anything to help get the triplehead mode running, dont hesitate to ask.

I use a Logitech Rumblepad 2. The game even detects it as such, but like the god damned consoles i cun't change the controls. But luckily i can reassign the buttons through my controller software, so the problem was easy to remedy. The default controls were okay so i only really changed two buttons. YOu could also use xpadder is you have a different controller...
I haven't tried mouse+kb at all, and the only issue I have with the camera is that 'd prefer it to be a litle further from the character - but only to be able to see more carnage. The controls are accurate, but there's often a slight delay for actions to finish, and i use that time to swing the camera around if i desire.. but i rarely need to. Plus the targeting system helps a lot. It targets the greatest threat on its' own (with an option to toggle targetting) and keep it in view for you.
3 1/2 hours, and I've racked up 1700 pedestrian kills.

Common we need a fix on this! Btw why did they do a poor approach and limit resolution after vram just like gta 4 did? Don't they f*ing know anything about hardware? Pathetic!
