SGU 2.10 is out !

Post by bobd »

At 2.10 start up the splash screen is short on the right side. The 6 buttons are only partially be visable. Matrox don't have a clue. Anyone else have this?

Thanks,

Hi bobd,

Can you explain more precisely the problem you are seeing with the SGU?

We'd be happy to look into this further if you are able to clarify the issue specifically.

Thanks,
Mark

SGU 2.10 is out !

Hi Bobd,

We haven't been able to recreate the issue in-house even after trying numerous different system configurations.

The lead coder for the SGU has also been trying different things to duplicate the bug but hasn't been successful unfortunately.

As an alternative you can revert back to one of the previous skins as follows:

Go into the SGU Configuration Settings file (in program filesMatroxSGU)

under the following text:

[SETUP]
Skin=weblook2
;Skin=WebLook
;Skin=Matrox
ShowAllGames=True
MatroxSguWebSite=http://www.matrox.com/graphics/surroundgaming/en/downloads/sgu/

Change it to:

[SETUP]
;Skin=weblook2
;Skin=WebLook
Skin=Matrox
ShowAllGames=True
MatroxSguWebSite=http://www.matrox.com/graphics/surroundgaming/en/downloads/sgu/

Save the file and relaunch the SGU. This will bring you back to the legacy skin.

You can also tweak the skin settings by right-clicking in the bottom lefthand corner of the SGU while it is running. (You have to really click in the extreme bottom left to get the editor to open though).

Hopefully this helps you a bit at least :cheers

Best,
Mark

I'm having the same problems with improper display of the right side push-buttons and the button that sends you to the Matrox website.

I tried the suggestion of changing the .ini config file.

-----
[SETUP]
Skin=weblook2
;Skin=WebLook
;Skin=Matrox
ShowAllGames=True
MatroxSguWebSite=http://www.matrox.com/graphics/surroundgaming/en/downloads/sgu/

results in the new interface with the buttons way off to the right (but usable).
-----

[SETUP]
;Skin=weblook2
;Skin=WebLook
Skin=Matrox
ShowAllGames=True
MatroxSguWebSite=http://www.matrox.com/graphics/surroundgaming/en/downloads/sgu/

results in a blue interface with no text in the buttons on the right (buttons are unusable).
-----

[SETUP]
;Skin=weblook2
Skin=WebLook
;Skin=Matrox
ShowAllGames=True
MatroxSguWebSite=http://www.matrox.com/graphics/surroundgaming/en/downloads/sgu/

results in another interface with the buttons too far to the right (buttons are usable).
------

Conclusion: Text is still not properly placed in any of the interfaces. If I'm using the SGU skin editor, which controls should I be moving around?

Thanks!

I'm running under Windows 7 (build 7100).

Post was edited because I had to go figure out how to get admin status to save changes to the SGU config file.
