Widescreen Gaming Forum

I did use several minutes searching, and all information I found was related to Age of Empires III or Age of Empires (the first one)....Why is Age of Empires II ignored in this good forum? Even in the Master Games List AoE II is ignored.

I have always been a huge fan of AoE II over all other versions, I believe this one (With the Conquerors expansion) is the best. I recently bought my first Widescreen 19 monitor. It's an HP and the recommended resolution is 1440x990

Horror :shock: ...I opened AoE II and it looks too big and awful. It's hard to navigate thru the monitor that big (It takes ages to move from a place to another). I am about to return my fancy flat monitor and get me back my old huge ulbs 17 monitor.

Can anybody help me here or pin point me to the right thread where I can find the solution as of how to play AoE II (Notice II...not III)...

In short : the game's desperately not widescreen-friendly. Play in windowed mode !

(Might be a good idea to add a "no solution" Wiki page, like it was done for Armies of Exigo...)
