Came across this the other day whilst looking into new monitors, looks promising for immersion.
The pic about 1/2 way down running the flight sim.

Not yet seen anything like this in the UK. :(

Interesting, I wonder if they're using 2 TH2G or just 1 to achieve that.

Here is a guide on 3d for l4d. I don't have those cheap 3d glasses but as soon as I get my hands on some I will give it a shot. Apparently this method supports a ton of games, not just l4d.

Anyone try this hack yet? Looks promising!

I too don't have any 3D glasses, have to find some.

I have an old install of Vista 64 that I was getting ready to delete.
I guess I'll give this a try on that. Nothing to harm.

I'll know soon. I bought some red-blue clip-ons from ebay. I'll try it out once they arrive. If this does work I'm gonna be pretty happy. :D

Keep us posted...

BTW is that Lord Lucifer himself in that photo? I mean he has a NERO (of all things) necklace on so he must be from the dark side :p

Well, I installed all the software and it looks like it works just fine. When you enable stereoscopic in-game it reduced my FPS by about 30-40, so be prepared to drop your quality settings.

The problem is that it looks like it is default set to red/blue glasses. The superbowl glasses that I was trying to use are yellow/blue so they didn't work at all. I tried using the registry hack to change it over to yellow/blue but that did not seem to do anything. The game still looked like it was stuck on red/blue. I tested out l4d and tf2 and they both worked.

I just ordered a set of the red/blue glasses so I will report back when I receive them. I would post some of the preliminary screenshots, but the screenshots look normal. According to the site I linked, the stereoscopic technology acts outside of the frame buffer so screenshots don't capture the 3d image.

You can set the color type in the nvidia control panel. Just click the Run Setup Wizard button.

Didn't see any color selections. It asked if I was using glasses or a monitor and the only option for glasses was red/blue.

Yep, they didn't work for me. No matter, glasses should get here in a few days.

I bought some clip-on red-blue lenses for my glasses for $6 on ebay. I'm hoping to have those soon. I installed the drivers and it looks to be working in the games I play. I just need the lenses/glasses.

I've tried red/blue before, the 3d effect is neat but the color loss isn't.

I've been wondering if that superbowl/chuck colorcode 3d scheme was any better, even if I recorded the trailer, I don't have the glasses, no displays to distribute em in canada.

Has anyone tried that, how good/bad is it?

Finally received my red/blue glasses. Did a run-through on l4d, cs:s, and civ4. The 3d effect works on FPS games but it is not entirely immersive. Certain effects work perfectly in the game, such as a water fountain or when a zombie is running straight at you. Some things really don't work with anaglyph glasses, such as windows rendered in 3d and glow effects.

Cs:s gave me a headache so I only played it for a few minutes. It was far too fast paced and twitchy for me to play effectively with 3d on. Overall it looked pretty decent, but trying to get headshots with a 3d cursor and 3d target is quite difficult. Civ4 worked in 3d but since the game is mostly a top-down view, it looked very weird. I have a feeling that RTS or any sort of strategy game is not going to look good in anaglyph 3d.

Overall it works and the glasses only cost a few dollars. It is neat to play around with but I doubt I would use it extensively.
