1024x768 16:9 AR support for Crysis and Crysis Warhead

Hi eveyone, nice to see you.

I just registered on the forum to ask if anyone knew of a method to display the 1024x768 resolution in both Crysis and Crysis Warhead but using a 16:9 aspect ratio.

The reason I ask is because I play my games on a widescreen plasma display that has this native resolution. Many games I own do support what I'm asking for (like Call of Duty 4 and 5, Frontlines: FOW, GRID and PES2009), but I wish I could also play Crysis and Crysis Warhead without having them stretched.

I hope you guys know something more than I do on this regard.

Thanks in advance!

Regards.

If you set your desktop resolution to any 16:9 AR before loading the game, then when Far Cry 2 runs in your chosen resolution, it will use the desktop AR.

Hey eZ`, thanks for replying. I did check what you said but I ended up using Racer_S' fix for FarCry 2.

Regarding Crysis and Crysis Warhead, is it possible to have a similar fix? I don't think it's available so would it be difficult to create something like it?

You can always just run a 16:9 resolution like 1366x768 or higher. Rendering at higher than the display resolution will effectively add extra AA to the game by means of oversampling.

Yeah, but I would like to use its native resolution of 1024x768 (you know, things look best at native res).

So, there is no way to gain horizontal FOV in Crysis and Crysis Warhead using a 4:3 resolution? :(
