Considering new PC, help?

Note: I'm not sure if I'm getting a new PC soon. I also want it to work with a future TH2Go config, so that's why I'm considering nvidia.

I was thinking about something like

CPU: Intel Core2Quad Q9550 2.83GHz
Mainboard: Asus STRIKER-II-EXTREME, Socket 775
RAM: Dual Channel Corsair TWIN3X 2 x 2GB DDR3, 1600MHz, 9-9-9-24
HDD: Seagate 1TB, 7200rpm, 32MB
VidCard: BFG nVidia GeForce GTX 280 OCX
PSU: Silverstone Zeus ST85ZF (850W)
OpticalUnit: Blu-ray Lite-On DH-4O1S-06C, SATA, Black
SoundCard: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro

With a 2253BW (3 of them sometime in the future).

In a black NZXT Nemesis Elite case (which I already own)

5.1 Logitech speakers, two external HDDs 500GB, dir-655 wireless router, and other things I already have.

Any suggestions or coments? Will it work good enough with 3 monitors? (Further note: this is about as far as my wallet can go)

IMO, if you are not doing SLI (now or in the near future), maybe it is better to ditch the 790i Ultra SLI board and get an upper end P45 motherboard (eg Asus P5Q Deluxe for DDR2 or Asus P5Q3 Deluxe if you really like DDR3) which roughly costs half of the Striker II Extreme.

I'll echo his opinion.

Also why the Q9550 over the Q9450? Some very simple overclocking can save big bucks there.

Also why DDR3? Unless your planning on using it for a future build.

And finally I would rather use onboard sound than be stuck with another Creative card.

i will the same as dafox, and raise the bidding by suguesting an ATi card perhaps? :)
