Ghostmaster (Solution?)

Okay, i didn't found anything about Ghostmaster here, so i had to register and post this.


Edit the File SpDrv.cfg in the GameDir /GhostData

Replace the Data for MaxW and MaxH which is Originally 1280 and 1024 in both lines to your desired Max Resolution.

in my Case 1920 and 1080
1 Sutherland 1 REAL 0 ANY 640 1920 480 1080 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 0 0

The Game then should support all Resolutions between Min and Max resulting in Hor+

Menus and Loadingscreens are streched

Unfortunately i had minor problems with the Graphicspeed in 1920x1080 where the Renderer hangs up for about 1 till 5 seconds in a zoomed out state.

Tested Resolution
1920x1080, 1280x1024

Coincidentally I just reinstalled this game, so now I guess another long overdue Detailed Report is on its way !

Edit : Hmm. It worked... once. This morning I played at my native 1680x1050. Now it's back to the default 1280x1024, and whatever I do to the file, the only resolutions available are 4:3 and limited to 1600x1200. :?
I can even erase SpDrv.cfg, the game works just the same...

well i'll try that right now if the setting is the same.

edit: well i try'd it two times more and the resolution still is 1920x1080. I dont't think that any patch was applied by me.

check out the config file and the than the Gamesetting for the videoresolution.

No way. Like I said, I have the exact same resolutions available with the original file, with the modified file, and with no file at all :? Ah well, maybe it's just another Vista-only issue. One more game I'll have to reinstall and playtest on the old XP partition...

Pretty cool. I think I still have this as well. Wonder if it works in TH. Can you do a Detailed Report on this?

I installed the game on XP, didn't patch, didn't use a nocd. Couldn't get the trick to work even once. I'm lost here :?

hehe, my english is also rusted a bit. I will try to make a DR at the weekend looking at some other DR for all the MUSTS :)

Can anyone confirm this solution ? I can't reproduce it - XP or Vista, 19" ws or 30" panel, game patched or unpatched, fresh install or existing profile... whatever I try, there's no widescreen res's available and no way to get past 1600x1200 !! :cry:
