Hello!
I have done a lot of searching around and am having difficulty finding a simple
Yes or
No answer to this question. Before I ask, let me give a quick background of my situation.
-----
I have the
TripleHead2Go Digital Edition.
I also have the
NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS video card that has both a VGA and DVI connector port on the back of the card. After reading up on some documentation, it appears if I want to utilize the max resolution of 3840x1024 I have to use the VGA (
HD-15) port on this card; because the DVI connector only works up to 2560x1600 or something like that.
Right now I am using the VGA port just fine and originally had problems with the DVI port. It looked as if it couldn't support the full 3840x1024 resolution as it is technically the secondary port of the card.
I have already ordered a
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS card and it should arrive today or tomorrow. Here's the
exact one I'm getting. It has two DVI ports, no VGA ports, and both are dual-link DVI-I.
Q: Will I be able to utilize the DVI connector port on this video card and have full 3840x1024 true digital support (without using an
HD-15 converter)?
Thank you!
