Hi to all first of all great site .
I have just bought a widescreen HG216D HDMI 22in .
First problem is the fact i am gamer for 6 years playing coduo / cod2 / cod4 in clan all that stuff .
Not knowing much about widescreen thought this was the way to go only to realise that it came with anolog connection only with hdmi cable optional .
My grafics card has two dvi-d outputs so with old monitor had to use connector to tranfer back into anolog knowing this would not play my card at its full potencial , reason have got digital monitor now .
Here comes the problem i am going to buy this connector http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@2136661378.1204422250@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccggadedhdlefedcflgceggdhhmdgml.0&category_oid=&sku=387040&page=Product&fm=null&sm=null&tm=null
So that i can get full digital output from my card to my monitor , have already went into my game coduo and changed my config file to support the res on the monitor which is 1680x1050 because the game does not support widescreen .
When i first started playing game with new monitor my grafics looked awful but talking with some of my gaming pals the told me to change config file and looks great now ,but seems sometimes the screen trying to gatch up with movement of mouse (like playing drunk if you know what i mean ) .
So to cut a long story short my two questions
1 . will this cable improve the way my grafics card preforming i know it will improve my desktop etc because other people i know have dvi cable and night and day to anolog cable with dig monitor
2 this is my grafics card http://ati.amd.com/products/radeonx800/radeonx800gt/index.html
not knowning much about clocking etc etc would i be best just putting it to default setting let it do its own thing or has anyone know what the best setting for wide screen play is .
Thanks hope you s can help
regards as always john
