Is it possible to use 3 monitors with dualhead2go in horizonal span?

If i remember it correctly, windows does accept it, but gaming is gonna be the one who spoils the fun. But i don't own 3 screens and a TH2g or DH2g, so can't confirm it for you.

But why would you use a DH2g for this, is there such a mayor money gap between them?

No.

The DualHead2Go makes windows think that two monitors are actually one.

Nvidias horizontal span forces both monitors to have the same resolution. Because of this it only truly works if both monitors are of the same native resolution. If they are not, then one of those monitors is going to run at a non-native resolution.

So the single monitor not connected to the DH2GO would run at 1280x1024. The DH2GO would also be forced to run at 1280x1024, and since at that resolution it would just turn off the secondary DH2GO monitor, you would once again be stuck with only 2 screens.

So that was it, thanks to refresh it mobster007.

Did experiment in the old days with 2 screens with custom resolution.

I have now M2N-E SLI and 8800 GTS. Can i buy 7600gs to run third monitor with SoftTH? If I can, can my 8800GTS help it? Or have I buy another 8800GTS to get better FPS?

I don't fully understand SoftTH, but the way I hear it is like this:

For games the primary video card is doing all of the work, and SoftTH just passes off the part of the image that needs to go to the monitor on the secondary video card. So basically the second card doesn't really do anything except output the image passed to it by the primary one.

Another 8800GTS would only help if it was SLI-ed with your current one, that way these two could work together and then pass off the image to whatever pissant card you happen to have.

So, I will get same FPS with 7300gs and 8800gts? If my secondery card is DX9, can I run DX10 games if my primary card is DX10?

Once again I don't know for sure, but I think that you will get the same FPS with the 7300GS as you would with the 8800GTS as your secondary card.

As for your DX10 question, I haven't got any idea.

Don't take my word on this, but I would assume that if the second card isn't doing any processing at all DX10 games would work just fine.

The easy way to test that would to be buying a really cheap DX9 card off of ebay.

SLI only works out of a single port out, so you'll get no SLI with SoftTH.

I'm not quite sure what I was thinking at the time of that statment. maybe like SLI doing the render work as the primary and then passing off to two secondary cards? Probably wouldn't work though. : P
