I have gone ahead and made a WSGF group on the new Steam Community Beta. Ofcourse i'm happy to give over admin to the real mods, but i thought i'd start it up while i had nothing to do.

To download/join the beta....

In Steam go to View -> Settings.
Near the bottom there's a new section saying "Beta Participation".
It will say (1 available). From the drop down choose it.
It will ask you to restart Steam.

When Steam is updated, follow the on screen 'wizard' to setup your SteamID and once you're happy with it click the following link to the WSGF group...

Then click on the Join Group button on the right of the page.

Nice one! Now we can all spy on you 8)

Nice, I didn't know they had a beta of this running. I should be player of the week though, since I play more CS:S than you do eZ 8)

Im on there :) got steam community beta about 5 minutes after it went live. Its pretty damn cool aside from the whole SteamID thing. If only they named it something different.

I have joined. Will add this to the left nav as well.

I've upped you to admin, and you're there in the group properties but it isn't displayed on the site yet. I'm gonna leave it for now because its insanely slow and i reckon it will catch up with itself.

Haha, btw, the fun mods are !bank, !bet, and CheapWireCut.

!Bank is exactly what it says, save up money, collect interest on new map, spend it on bigger guns sooner.

!bet (when it works) is an easy and effective way to say your team (or thiers) sucks ass and make money off of it.

CheapWireCut is actually a 2 part mod, it's 1 mod, but it's got 2 components, the planting minigame, and the defusal minigame. When planting as a terrorist, the more numbers you hit appearing on the menu in rapid succession, the more risky it becomes for the CTs to defuse the bomb with a simple snip of a wire, or a quick yank of another. It's saved our almost loss, but it's made for some funny moments.

Oh, also, the bots show up with pings, and harass you in chat (make them look more realistic.) Some players visiting the server have infact mistaken the bots for real players twice already.

I've added an announcement and two events for a meet up for Team Fortress 2.

One is for EU one is for US in consideration to pings, but depending on turn out, they may be merged and one lot just has to put up with the high pings.
If you have a suggestion of a server, can host one, or can borrow one from somebody, please let me know so i can add the IP to the event details.

Note as well, can someone in non-EU land please check what time the US event says it's starting. I scheduled the US event at (what i think is) 1am my time, in the hope that it would show up for you as [around] 8pm depending on where abouts you are. I haven't a clue how Steam calculates the time-zones, so it may have auto adjusted it for you to show at your time, or it may just display it at 1am still. :?
I'm also open to suggestions about what time you want it to start.

Awesome, my brain and Steam are as one.

Ashamedly, I'm not even gonna be able to make the event that i organised as my brother has decided that yes, he is going to come up here this weekend. :( (:( that i can't make it, but :) to see him like)

Remember that we have a "Chat" room on Steam. If you go to our group you can click "Join Chat" so i reckon that would be the best place for everyone to organise where and when.

Cynagen will be hosting the server, please check the Announcement and Event for the IP and Password, which i will be updating once the server is up. I think it will be best to merge EU and US together as we're not exactly going to get 20 from either side of the pond are we....?

I'll keep making updates as they come up....
