problem with Soldier of Fortune and wide resolution

hey
i changed the game` resolution for 1680x1050
(the natural screen resolution - dell 2007wfp)
according this guide
http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/index.php/Soldier_of_Fortune_II:_Double_Helix.
but now it's just look huge and not "widy"
