Well, judging by the state of Nvidia's drivers, no, the scaling has been buggered for a while now. I guess it depends on whether your monitor can do it. Have you had a look in your monitors OSD for any scaling options?

Hehe look at that guys face, he is really conscentrating.

Only certain monitors can do scaling with the Nvidia drivers. My old monitor wouldn't do it at all. Got my new monitor the other day and scaling with the Nvidia forceware is perfect, using the exact same drivers.

You will need to use the DVI input on your monitor to get the option to scale the screen, it won't work over VGA.

If it doesn't work, you can try Powerstrip.

For nVidia cards, go to NVIDIA Control Panel, then under Display, choose "Change flat panel scaling" and make sure "Use NVIDIA scaling with fixed-aspect ratio" is selected. There's a similar option somewhere if you've got your control panel set to "Classic" view.

If this doesn't work, you may have to uninstall and reinstall your drivers -- I certainly had to. This works with my 24" Dell 2405FPW, my 7900GS and the 94.24 drivers released at the end of May, as well as the previous set...

I'd like to know how you're supposed to use Powerstrip to have vertical black bars whenever a 4:3 resolution is applied... I really have no clue.

I have an ATI card, and I miss a "Fixed Aspect Ratio Scaling" option. :(
