Widescreen BootScreen

Does anyone know how to fix the boot screen in XP so it doesnt appear 'squashed'? Is there anyway to modify it to widescreen resolution?

Boot skin can do what you want. You can even make your own bootskins. A lot of the ones you download aren't optimized for widescreens though.
