I have two logitech gamepads and a 1080p display. I can't find any good 2 player games that can be played on one screen... Does anyone have any suggestions other than serious sam 2?

Serious Sam Gold! It beats the living hell out of Serious Sam II.

Ragdoll Kung Fu. Im not sure if it supports gamepads, but it does support two players and widescreen. You can get it off of Steam. (its a light hearted fighting game)

Super Mario Kart FTW.

I like playing that against friends online, at least.

Anyway, besides playing old console games on a PC, I do not really know. There are not too many games (that I know of, at least) that support multi player without being online / LAN.

This game looks kinda cool.

Aside from the ones already listed though i don't really know, an emulator will probably be what you want/need.

If you like racing games I recommend ToCA Race Driver 3. Also Marvel Ultimate Alliance even though it's not split screen it's still a fun multiplayer rpg.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance is probably the most fun wide screen / 2 player with game pads game you can possibly play on the computer with a buddy! GO FOR IT!

Yeah this game is perfect for what you are describing. Also, check into X-Men Legends 2.

Also for some fun retro gaming, you should look into MAME. Playing all of the old arcade games with a friend is a blast. Golden Axe, Double Dragons, etc...

gotta love MAME.

There is some cool N64 emulators out there. (Cant say where, just google it. :P)

But if you want an awesome Co-op game you could get an Xbox 360 and Gears of War, crazy game to play co-op.

Emulators are legal. ROMs aren't, but the emulators are.
Project64 is probably the bet N64 emulator. You can find several here:
