Spinter cell double agent Widescreen help!

I can seem to get 1680x1050 to work.. i changed the ini files and still no go. Im still getting 1600x1200... anyone can help me?
First question: How do you control the resolution you are running?
Make sure make it exactly this way: http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/7308 ,
you can also try to set the files read-only.
