I tried a custom resolution of 1024x576 (PAL SD if the pixel aspect ratio is 1:1) and that worked fine. Though it looks like the resolution is separate from the aspect ratio so you can make use of the game morphing the picture like DVDs do.

There's a ScreenAspect value in there, but setting it to -1 or 48:10 didn't help.

1440x900 and 2560x1600 (+ faux TH) confirmed to work natively.
