BF2142 Widescreen not work

I have 22' Chimei 221D widescreen and when i double click the game shortcut on desktop it goes black screen for a few seconds then flash back to desktop.

i also tried "C:Program FilesElectronic ArtsBattlefield 2142BF2142.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 720 command lind but it still doesn't load the game.

please help

Delete the bf2 folder in your My Documents folder.
Restart the game .

it run like charm but one more thing :w00t

now i set the commandline as +szx 1280 +szy 768 for desktop icon but in the game video setting there is no 1280x768 so i set it as 1280x960.

would i get kick by punkbuster for 1280x960 resouliton?

Didnt think Punk would kick for a screen edit in Bf2 series. Heard a rumor 2142 did but im not sure on that either.

i was talking about BF2142 not BF2 so i deleted the BF2142 folder in my document and it worked

yeh will play with that resolution and see what happen

Nope, it doesn't. Make sure you have your sources straight. I am running both a custom res, and have removed the videos. Works fine, have never been kicked by punkbuster, exept for when I first installed because it was out of date.

the custom resolution is doesn't work because when the game loaded. it used the 800x600 resolution then i set it to 1280x960 which make the picture stretched even i set custom resultion commandline in game shortcut icon.
