It's $50 ($49.95), plus tax if you pay tax, with no discount like they usually have going on before the actual release day.
I dunno. Might have been interested if it were a little cheaper, more reasonably priced, something like $30 or even up to $40. What are your opinions?

Will be buying it, but not off Steam.

On closer reflection I guess $50 could be considered a fair price. It is a full game after all (i.e. not episodic), plus it's got single and multiplayer components. I guess I'm too used to the regular stuff on Steam and have forgotten what a full-priced game costs any more. No matter.

I'd probably pay a good portion of that just for the MP component, never mind the SP as well.

Ah hell, I thought 'wtf' and bought it anyway. As others have noted elsewhere, the deals off Steam tends to be cheaper for a lot of us not living in the US. For example, in my case the conversion goes as 49.95 USD = 66.9377 AUD (Australian Dollars), and virtually all full-priced games in Australia are sold on the stores at between $80-$90, sometimes $100, so we do end up getting the better deal from Steam anyway.

I downloaded the demo and thought it played very poorly.
The engine didn't seem to perform like I thought it would. The combat system was trash. I didn't even like the voiceovers.
I will not be buying it.

I loved it ...
The demo played great ...
The engine performed just fine ...
The combat system is awesome ...
And the voiceovers seemed ok ...
It just shows you how two people can differ so much with their opinion of a game ...
I bought it ... I like Steam

Well to be fair, the demo was not built using a final version of the game, so who knows what improvements have been made to the engine and combat mechanics since then. Doesn't help the voice overs I guess, but whatchagonnado.

Not often ... as I said I thought they were ok ... in "Call of Juarez" they are spot on ... about as good as I have ever heard in a game ...

I don't know why I don't like the game... (crazy sentence )
The fightsystem was really bad and the whole demo was boring for me. it doesn't made fun to kill those orks, usually I like to kill something. :?

Just out of curiosity, those of you that didn't like the combat system, what didn't you like about it?

I have to agree with paddy and everyone, the combat system is bloody brilliant! Best ive ever seen in a first person RPG.. just look at oblivion - its combat system was pretty crap.
I will definatly be buying this game, im counting down the days lol.
As for the price, it's a little cheap - games like this normally sell for around £39.99 or at least £29.99 over here, and steam are giving it us for just over £24 pre-order, and Play.com will accept pre orders at £26 delivered. Very good price in my opinion.

They tried to do something really original with the combat system, and I will agree, it's cool. But it's not fun to use, or at least for me it isn't. Can't really describe this in words.

I'll probably buy a boxed copy.
I'm not as adamantly against Steam as I was, but I still don't like it too much. :(

Played the demo, and I liked it! It's cool that they finally came up with another real FPS game in the fantasy genre, Oblivion being the first, of course... :D :D
I bought the full game off Steam, started downloading last night. Was going well at 350+ Kb/s, then slowed down to around 50...grrr.
Will finish tonight, then it's orcs into the spikes time! :D
