I tried to use the artmoney tricks, but had no luck

i think i may have stumbled onto something ... i'm not really sure so better check it out first and confirm ...
i tried the solution for ea mvp baseball 2005 [url]http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/5825]
a) first i changed my resolution to 800x600
b) searched for this string using a hex editor on nbalive07.exe ... don't forget to make a back-up first ... "20 03 00 00 58 02"
c) was happy to find that string as i tried different strings from different "solutions" but to no avail ... now i replaced that string with this "A0 05 00 00 84 03" (this is for 1440x900 native resolution)
1440 (Decimal) = A005 (Hex) in Little Endian
900 (Decimal) = 8403 (Hex) in Little Endian
note: i noticed that the resolution only changed when you play a game and not for the menu start-up ... have tested only an exhibition game .. haven't tested yet for the other modes yet ... also when you pause a game and go to details setting it will still say "800x600" on the resolution but you will notice that it is no longer "800x600" but "1440x900" ...

EDIT ... Paddywak :
I removed the IMG code ...
Please could you not post very large screenshots ...
Having to scroll the page left and right makes it right pain to read the thread.
Use thumbnails with links or smaller shots ...
Here is an example for thumbnails with links ...
The code for this is like this ...
4:3 ... 1600x1200
Thank you ... 8)

glad to see it also works for you ... your resolution looks crispier ... only got a 19" so my native resolution is only 1440x900 ... 1680x1050 is so much nicer ...

First, you need a hex editor.
It can be downloaded at http://www.chmaas.handshake.de/delphi/freeware/xvi32/xvi32.htm
load nbalive07.exe into the hex editor.
This will change 800x600 mode into 1680x1050.........
in the hex editor Find (ctrl + F) ' 20 03 00 00 58 02 '
Overwrite it with ' 90 06 00 00 1A 04 '
Now, there is one more ' 20 03 00 00 58 02 ', find it (ctrl + F) and
Overwrite it with ' 90 06 00 00 1A 04 ' again....ur done, 800x600 resolution is now 1680x1050..........

you must set resolution to 800x600, play a game for like 1 min, and exit the game, it will save your resolution, if you dont play a game it doesnt save it, then try it.
