Apparently in the "FlatOut 2 European/German retail patch v1.1 beta" hopefully same will follow for the US version. Looks like the developers are actually listening.

Here is it mentioned in the changlog;
- Aspect ratio option added, widescreen support

I bought the US version, sorry no starfarce on my rig.

Oh no ... maybe I won't buy it now that I know it has that crap ... what a shame.

Just buy the US version, you save money, and no starforce.

Any screens about the widescreen version of the game ?? I have the game, but no widescreen tft yet. So i wanna know how it looks like :D.

Only because of the LACK of proper widescreen support is what led me to stop playing it. And not buy it.

This game is fantastic in widescreen, it looks really good in 1680x1050! I would take some screenshots but I cant be bothered yet :)

Yeah it's dam sweet in WS, i love this game evan more now :)

Got this last week and it actually looks better than the hacked ws NFSMW. Mine already had widescreen support out of the box...kinda stretched but it still looks good once you get used to it. FANTASTIC game for a budget price. 8)

edit- does this patch offer non-stretched 1680x1050?

Yes the ws resolutions are available even without the patch but the game is stretched and the new patch is is only vert-. The setup looks different in the new patch.

Game looks great with v1.1 patch. I play it with 1920x1200 resolution and before patch I didn't like it at all... But now it's looking good enough and I think it's now that game what it supposed to be.
