Ubersoldier demo - resolution/widescreen problem

A very new demo so haven't seen any disscusions on the boards yet but I've discoverd some problems already :(

There are a number of resolution one can choose from either within the game or using the configuration app. in the games folder. However the native res. (1440x900) of my VA1912w isn't one of them.

I've looked in the config.ini and although there's an option to change the FOV I can't spot anyway of setting the Hor/Vert resolution.

There is a file called "xtend" where (amongst many other resolutions) 1440x900 is listed similar to the way shown below: -

.... mode 21: 1440 x 900 x 32 mode 22: 1440 x 900 x 32 ....

Just wondering if anyone can suggest a solution to the above problem?

TIA

B

So how does it reference the res in the .ini? 'Cause if it's 'mode based', then you should be able to select the mode in question... also, have a hunt through the registry (backup first!) to see if it's referenced in there...

No, nothing in the registry at all. Is all I know is that the max resolution using the in-game setting is 1152x864 with the max res using the config. app is 1280x1024.

I've also posted a support request to CDV though I'm not hopeful of a response.
