I know the Matrox boys had Tiberian Sun running across three screens ...

This is what they did to get it working ...
Locate the mainfolder of C&C:
Look for the sun.ini file and edit the following lines in the [VIDEO] section to your desired resolution ...


[Video]
ScreenWidth=800
ScreenHeight=600
StretchMovies=no

It's worth a try as this also worked for ...
Red Alert 2 / Alarmstufe Rot 2
Yuris Revenge / Yuris Rache
Generals

Pls stop talking about solutions on Ra2 and yuri's revenge.

There is NO solution, if you use that ****HACK***** (change ini) you can't play online against or with other people who has a weird resolution in the game. It really sucks :lol: cause i play it every day.

He asked for solutions for the first C&C and the first RA (not Yuri's or RA2, so you can calm yourself Shalashaska, these be different games) and as far as I am aware there are no differences between the ones released in the new decade pack and the original releases. Heck, even the bug that cripples the first C&Cs online play in WinXP is still there.
My friend just bought it so ill try it later today perhaps and find out myself about the resolutions.

@Paddy tried that but there is not Video heading in the INI file

Ok calmed now :lol: , but still can someone remove the solution of Ra2 cause a single player solution isn't really a solution :shock:

Is there any specific way to enter the resolution in options.ini? I've tried some different methods but no one work for me. The gamedata.ini works great in ZH, but what about normal CnC:G?

Well, thank you. I got it working in both games with the resolution. :)

But it's only ZH thats has changed MaxCameraHeight to 610.

I've changed the value in INI.big file inside Generals root dir with FinalBIG but nothing has changed within the game.

Any great ideas what im doing wrong? :?

Yea I know whats going wrong, cause I just spent a few hours messing around with it. If you read the post carefully, he says to insert a copy of the ini file into the data folder in the main directory, under a new folder you name yourself. I got it to work, there is just 1 small problem with it. YOU CAN'T PLAY ONLINE! The game will now recognize your game as a different version and you will not be able to play with the general community.

this is my first post here so please be gentle :lol: i just bought a viewsonic 22" widescreen and am waiting for UPS to deliver it. i play yuri's revenge on a regular basis and am wondering how to adjust my resolution for the best viewing with it. i do not play online so that is not a concern. i just want it to look good to play against the AI. any tips and help would be greatly apreciated. this is my first LCD BTW so i am a newb.
