I am relatively new at PC gaming. I just got hooked and built a new gaming rig with a 7800gt. In my gaming room, I have the pc hooked up to a 19" monitor with a Samsung tx-p3075wh HDtv beside the pc. I play most of my pc games at the 19" monitor (like BF2) however, I have gameracer cockpit that I would like to use to play rfactor racing on the samsung hdtv. The samsung only has component inputs (no dvi) and it supports 1080i natively I believe. I have tried to get this running but have no clue on what resolution to try and play in and how to set it all up so that I can get a good widescreen picture. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also rfactor appears fairly restrictive for the resolution it supports. Thanks

Way, way late here, but 1080i HDTVs use a native resolution of 1920x1080. rFactor should support this natively; if not, there is a line in your config.ini that says VideoMode=xxx. Find out what value 1920x1080 is, input that, and save the file.

thanks for the quick reply :)
i had 2 monitors out of the one card, the game was reading what the max res of my old 17"lcd could do. i unplugged that and it worked. all my res came. now i have another problem. when i turn the res upto 1920x1080 it doesnt fit into the screen. if i move the mouse it slids the screen along till i get to the other end. thats on the desktop. in game it crashes.
i have a teac LCHD3240 HDTV with dvi in.
