War Hammer 40,000 Dawn of War

has anyone figured out how to get War Hammer 40,000 Dawn of War to run in a wide screen res? This game rocks but I want something higher than 1024/768 :(

Ok, i got it to work by editing the local.ini and w40k.ini files and setting the res to 1680X1050 (native for my LCD) but now it seems as tho I cannot scroll the camera out as far as i could before, like the zoom level for maximum out is closer than it should be. Any idea's?

Did you find, and change the FOV (filed of view) value as well ? (I hope there is...)

Different aspect ratios have different (but relative) FOV value. And this must be altered when aspect ratio is changed.

I read on another forum that the FOV is locked, and once you change it to the widescreen resolution, you simply are unable to zoom out as far as before..it's going to be a tradeoff, until someone finds something else, or the developers release a patch (?)

Anyways, is it possible to play Winter Assault in widescreen now? It is the only Dawn of War that I haven't completed because I can't stand playing in non-WS. :<
