I'm so happy to have eyefinity working, I had to throw in a few bucks. Amazingly shameful bethsoft claims to be for PC gamers and left this feature out, thanks Helifax and Hayden among others for your work.

First of all, I have to thank you for the great fixes!

Well, I dont really know if this was said before, but I just want to ask, because I'm playing Skyrim with my 360 pad... And while the helifax fix is really nice, I don't like that i have to have my keyboard with me all the time... I want to lean back and just enjoy ;) Is there any way to have a fix without the need to switch between modes all the time? or do i just have to cry now and play in single-monitor? :(

again, thanks for the great work so far!

I have a workaround of sorts for you if this is what you want to do. Using this handy mod ( http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=655 ) you can map whatever keys you like to your gamepad. Even more beneficial is the ability to map two buttons to one function. For example, you could set it so that when you hold left trigger and press Y, it presses * for you on the keyboard. And when you press right trigger and Y, it presses / for you. Really useful as you won't need your keyboard :)

WOW THANK YOU!! I am also using the x360 controller to play:)) So I was also using the keyboard for the mode changing:) That is the reason I didn't saw in the first place some problems with the mouse and map.
Thank you will be very handy!!!

[quote]New Version is out!!

It contains:

- Centered HUD (by default)
- Correct map + Correct POSITION OF CUSTOM MARKER
- Map will automatically switch to correct mode when pressing the default M key.
- Exiting the map by pressing the M key will automatically switch to CENTER HUD
- Workaround for BOOKS and SCROLL reading (using the B key prior to hitting ENTER A BOOK)
- Pressing the B key will automatically switch to CENTER HUD, after reading a BOOK
- Legacy STRETCHED HUD binding to 0 key on normal keyboard (NOT NUMPAD)

!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you switch to a mode don't forget to toggle back to the center hud mode (by pressing the same key again). Otherwise you will be stuck in that mode!!!

To add your custom Resolution open the FILE in NOTEPAD++ and search for 5230 and 1743. The first number replace it with your Eyefinity/Surround Width Resolution. The second number is the resolution of one monitor. For example: 5230/3=1743. DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE!!!

Enjoy:)

Best Regards!
Helifax

wHAT ABOUT:

function myattach(timer)
if getProcessIDFromProcessName("TESV.exe") ~= nil then
object_destroy(timer)
openProcess("TESV.exe")
sleep(1000)
autoAssemble(init_script)
sleep(500)
writeInteger(myAdd1,1680)
writeInteger(myAdd2,1680)
writeInteger(myAdd3,1680)
end

the three 1680s???

also the latest fix is def more broken for me, after pressing M, the hud often becomes streteched instead of centered and i have to press M a couple of times for it to cycle back to centered.

these 1680 are predefined values for the center screen. THey are taken into account only if you load the CT table before the game. Like I said, if you open the CT table and just replace any 5230, 1743, 1680 with your actuall resolution values it would not matter. These 3 values are written just one time, when the CT is loaded. Afterwards they don't matter.
As for the MAP:
Enter the map by pressing M
EXIT the map by pressing M
if the map is exited by pressing Tab the hud is broken!!!! Just think it as a toggle!

And yes lets make a petition to bathesda to give us the source code:))) so we can properly do this from the game:))

Thank you for your hard work so far Halifax. I noticed a problem with the Center_Stretched+Book_Fix.rar. It is when you use bow and arrow, the shot doesn't line up properly with crosshair/reticule, I tried switching modes but it doesn't fix the problem. I guess it may be because the text in the books have been shifted? This is not a problem with the previous fix Centered HUD+ Stretched HUD+ Book FIX.rar / NEW.CT, just a heads up. Thanks again for your great work!

I'm still using Centered HUD+ Stretched HUD+ Book FIX.rar / NEW.CT. This new fix looks complicated :/ Has the crosshair for the bow been fixed?

Are you using the ingame reticle? and when shooting an arrow the reticle is shifted to the left? I never saw this. But then again I have disabled the ingame reticle and using the nVidia crosshair when I play in 3D so it is possible...

EDIT: I tried it with my latest fix and I saw no problem with the crosshair and bow targeting system :D The crosshair and the bow aim are perfectly aligned.
Be sure that you don't have any other tweaks in the ini files that might produce this output.

Post by HaYDeN »

The DR has been updated with the latest fix - apologies, been a little busy... anyway.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Detailed Report

Fixed from last time:
- Books are readable
- Lock picking is scaled properly
- Items are scaled properly
- Background models on main screen and loading screen are scaled properly
- Mouse is centered when going into a menu
- Loading screen text is scaled correctly
- Spell and Main menu background no longer stretched.

Still to be fixed:
- Proper map fix - currently you must use M to access and leave (M or TAB) the map.
- In-game markers (look straight at them and they're OKish)
- Other misc things that I likely don't know about yet.

Please read the instructions carefully before using it to avoid confusion.

Packed in a RAW win32 API non-portable C++ app for you convenience.

Nevermind, I figured it out.

Post by vernacular »

I still can't see the inventory items displayed correctly with any of these fixes. The objects go off-screen and behind bezels. I actually really needed to examine this claw item to see the order of the symbols on it for opening a door, but I couldn't so I had to exit the game, then change to windowed, run the game again, load my save and examine the item, then exit, then change the settings back to triple-screen resolution, then start the game again, load my save, then I could finally open the door by inputting the correct order of symbols. Tried helifax's fix but it doesn't seem to do anything with the inventory objects nor does hayden's or am I using it incorrectly?

Nevermind, I figured it out. I was generating a trainer and trying to use that, but that breaks the cheat table for some reason. Now there are new issues though. When I use the M key to enter the map everything is stretched out and the cursor is only active on the left screen so I can only click the stuff in the west, when I exit the map with TAB, then re-open it with TAB then S it appears correctly. I don't think the M key is changing it fast enough. Am I the only one experiencing this? I've changed all the resolutions for bezel-corrected 6000x1080. That means changing the two related values to 2000 and 6000, right? 2000 being the width of one screen and 6000 being the width of all. Also, with the default centered HUD the menus are right but other things are all horizontally-smooshed. This includes the stamina, health, magic, and navigation bars as well as the identifying text when you look at a door or object. Am I still doing something wrong? I was really hoping the M key switch would work and considered changing the hotkey to M myself before helifax released the newer fix.

Yes I noticed that sometimes the mouse cursor is locked on the left screen. However if you move the mouse before pressing the M key it will appear in the center screen...weird stuff...

Anyway Hayden released his fix which is awesome!!!!!! You should check it out in the Detailed Report!

EDIT:

Just discovered, if you fast travel, you haven't reset the hotkey with the tab button. Make sure to press TAB when you finish fast travel to put everything on the center screen.

Are you kidding? I wish I could help you a fraction of the way you've helped everyone here!

For an extra bit of brilliance, use this mod ( http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=88 ) to stop the game from using hard coded keys for a bunch of things, meaning you can almost map any key/button to any function!

I know why they are darkened, I did think this to myself but dismissed it - as if maybe its adding atmosphere cause I was in a dark area. I shoulst fix that right now.

Basically I was trying to take a shortcut :)
