[quote]Thanks very much! Doesn't appear to go back far enough though. Do you have any older than 2010? I believe mw2 was 2009, but I'm not sure which version of single player came on the retail disk. All versions of WSF tried say game running: YES (unsupported version) or similar.

I do not have any versions older than that online. You can go into the settings of Widescreen Fixer and disable the option to show only the latest version. This should show every version of MW2 supported. What's the exact version of MW2 he has?

When Widescreen Fixer says Unrecognized, that's all that it means. It does not mean unsupported. It's just saying it does not recognize which version of the game is being run. The fix may or may not work still.

Thanks for letting me know. I don't know what version he has, there doesn't seem to be a version number written on the screen. In multiplayer there should be I imagine, but that would be different no?

LA Noire

Post by Gunhead »

Hello

can somebody tell me what is the exact name of the install folder for LA Noire? Just look into Steam folder, SteamApps then Common., Is it LA Noire? or L.A. Noire? I need the exact name in order to make widescreen fixer work with Theta version.

I'm totally going to remove identification from the next version of Widescreen Fixer. No matter how much I say it's purely cosmetic and has nothing to do with the fix itself, people still ask every day about it.

Not at all. It had to do with Gunhead's post directly above mine.

He thinks that changing the path will cause Widescreen Fixer to work with it. However, the path has nothing to do with it.

Post by AussieTimmeh »

Dopefish, the work you do on a single monitor is amazing. We know you do these fixes for free with no expectation, but allow us to say thanks. 8)

WSGF is keen to help get you into an Eyefinity/Surround setup to assist you when making multi-monitor fixes, and we're hoping that people who have used your fixes and enjoyed gaming with them will help meet this goal.

For everyone wishing to donate to dopefish for his fixes, Ibrin has setup a ChipIn which you can donate to, to show your appreciation! Check it out on the left hand sidebar.

update rate?

Post by RAGE_Saint »

Hey dopefish,
What is the update rate within the settings tab? Just curious about what it does, and what I should have it set to for optimum performance. Currently it's set to 100ms.

I will be adding support to adjust the FOV for single-player. Multi-player isn't really possible because there's a much, much greater risk of being detected. I'm still looking into ways I can get around it.

This is for certain games that require a forced FOV to be written constantly. This adjusts how fast it does it. Call of Duty does not rely on this setting and will not use it.

Post by dopefish »

I updated the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 MP plugin to support v1.3.362. I'd work on the SP plugin but I have to leave for work in a few minutes so there's no time (which means if there's a bug in MP plugin, I can't look at it for another 9 hours).

Enjoy,

Yes, I'm aware the text is cut off in the combobox. It will be fixed in the new Widescreen Fixer.

The donation drive has been a huge success, and I will be receiving three monitors shortly. When they arrive, I will be revisiting all old CoD games and fixing pretty much everything I can with them. I'll post here as soon as I have something to release for it.
