Thanks halifax for your fix :)

The one thing I notice which is a bug for me at least is that the normal subtitles are squished a bit, very narrow letters so they are close to unreadable :P The map is strange as well, but that is workable tho, and doesnt bother me at all.

Thanks :D

Try to load the fix after you launch the game:) otherwise the texts might be squished...

Very nice indeed. Works just as you describe.

I have noticed two slight things so far. After you alt tab out of game run your fix and alt tab back in. The fix dose not take effect automatically. I have to enter the map, or book mode and return before I get the centered Hub. Second sometimes when exiting the map I get the streched hub. Enter and exit the map a few times with the "m" key and the centered hub then returns.

But such small things are hardly game breaking and i suppose thats just flakeyness in CheatEngine.

Yes that is true...sometimes it can happen to break the view...unfortunately I cannot get the actual state of the game since is very hard for example to know if I am viewing the map or inventory without the source code of the game...
If you go o the main menu ALT+TAB, launch the CT table, ALT+TAB and resume your game...once ingame the interface will be centered for the 1680 resolution of a single monitor. Using the toggles you can center it to your screen:) and custom resolution:)

Also I note that running any other programs in the background while having Skyrim open seems to increase the likelihood of the view breaking. I can't keep explorer open and run skyrim + your fix at the same time. Close all background progs however and view break ups are much less. This seems to make sense to me given that your editing live memory data.

I would say to all close down other running programs before you start.

Hey, welcome to WSGF, like Notwenjc posted the best way is by checking the game's Detailed Report. Feel free of course to discuss / post any doubts in this thread.

If you changed back to centered mode every time the user hit TAB, and had the user hit tab to exit out of map, then you wouldnt have to manage state.

[quote]Nice! Gonna test this ASAP.

Well you said you didn't like the others versions;)) So I hope this one satisfies you:D Cheers!

I got problems with disappeared menue, after Switching back to the game... With or without Bezel Management. I guess this is due to wrong resolution adjustments!? I had this with hayden's tool, too, when I set any other value than the exact amount of one monitor.

So what values do I have to change exactly in the .CT file? For 5040x1050 or 5240x1050?

Oh and btw. my CheatEngine says that this "not a valid table file", though it executes it anyway. Had this with the old version of your fix, too. Nothing important, just wanted to let you know.

Thank you for your hard work so far Halifax. I noticed a problem with the Center_Stretched+Book_Fix.rar. It is when you use bow and arrow, the shot doesn't line up properly with crosshair/reticule, I tried switching modes but it doesn't fix the problem. I guess it may be because the text in the books have been shifted? This is not a problem with the previous fix Centered HUD+ Stretched HUD+ Book FIX.rar / NEW.CT, just a heads up. Thanks again for your great work!

I'm still using Centered HUD+ Stretched HUD+ Book FIX.rar / NEW.CT. This new fix looks complicated :/ Has the crosshair for the bow been fixed?

[quote][quote]First off thanks for all the effort H&H, we really appreciate it. Now I've tried both fixes, however both gives me shadow flickering that's not there one 1 screen. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I get shadow flixkering in eyefinity that I do not get in single screen. I don't attribute this to the fix.
C:UsersUSERDocumentsMy GamesSkyrimSkyrimPrefs.ini

set fShadowDistance to 0 or 1000
set fInteriorShadowDistance to 0

greatly reduces most flickering.

But that just eliminates a lot of shadows and produces a lot of pop-ins....

Helifax and Hayden, is there anyway to fix the shadows?

It can all be tweaked in your .ini file, but each person's setup will vary based on hardware. Tweak it to your heart's content: http://donotargue.com/cfg-makers/skyrim/ but it appears the blocky thing may only be with triple view... some contradicting discussion about that. You can get results with shadows, water, and even ambient occlusion (which makes things look really great with a subtle effect). Yep, Bethesda detuned this engine to run on Nintendo it seems.

Edit: Chipping in felt like posting a bounty... :)

The flickering shadows is an ATI issue that might be fixed with a future driver update.

I doesn't cause pop-in for me, and it removes the nasty blocky face shadows.

Sometimes no shadow looks better than ugly shadow.

hey all,

firstly thanks for your efforts much appreciated!

im still having the crash issue though...

  • i load up skyrim as an admin and get to the main menu

  • i alt-tab out of game, and run the NEW center hud V2 mod (i run at 5040 x 1050 so its modified)

  • i alt-tab back in (twice) the screen flickers and then the game closes...

any help much appreciated!

p.s tried it the other way around as well, got as far as the main menu and it crashes just after the bethesda logo, so something with my resolution and the menu's?

New Version is out!!

It contains:

- Centered HUD (by default)
- Correct map + Correct POSITION OF CUSTOM MARKER
- Map will automatically switch to correct mode when pressing the default M key.
- Exiting the map by pressing the M key will automatically switch to CENTER HUD
- Workaround for BOOKS and SCROLL reading (using the B key prior to hitting ENTER A BOOK)
- Pressing the B key will automatically switch to CENTER HUD, after reading a BOOK
- Legacy STRETCHED HUD binding to 0 key on normal keyboard (NOT NUMPAD)

!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you switch to a mode don't forget to toggle back to the center hud mode (by pressing the same key again). Otherwise you will be stuck in that mode!!!

To add your custom Resolution open the FILE in NOTEPAD++ and search for 5230 and 1743. The first number replace it with your Eyefinity/Surround Width Resolution. The second number is the resolution of one monitor. For example: 5230/3=1743. DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE!!!

Enjoy:)

Best Regards!
Helifax

wHAT ABOUT:

function myattach(timer)
if getProcessIDFromProcessName("TESV.exe") ~= nil then
object_destroy(timer)
openProcess("TESV.exe")
sleep(1000)
autoAssemble(init_script)
sleep(500)
writeInteger(myAdd1,1680)
writeInteger(myAdd2,1680)
writeInteger(myAdd3,1680)
end

the three 1680s???

also the latest fix is def more broken for me, after pressing M, the hud often becomes streteched instead of centered and i have to press M a couple of times for it to cycle back to centered.
