New Version:

Added Features:

- Reticle is enabled and correctly placed! (To place it correctly swap to the Grenade Launcher or Sniper Rifle. This will enable the reticle to be correctly placed)
- Ability to autodetect for nVidia Surround and support for multiple monitors;)) (Eyefinity users need to configure the plugin)
- Fov is now calculated. That mean no more the same fov in cutscenes/game/sniper mode etc;)) Everything is working as intended. No need to manually change the fov.
- Support only for xbox 360 controller. This link provides useful information: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/106/index/1375781/1

To be done:
- Keyboard and mouse are still no go!

Big thanks Dopefish for all the info and support that you provided me with!!

How-To:

1. Download the Coalesced.ini file and place it in Mass Effect 2BioGameConfigPCCooked.
2. Download this plug-in and put in "Plugins" folder of WideScreen Fixer.
3. Config the plugin. (use the little cog)
4. Start the game, enable the fix and enjoy.

Best Regard,
Helifax

Awesome, man, can't wait until the HUD is centered correctly! (Still about 3-400 pixels high for me at 4320 x 900, 4476 x 900 bezel corrected)

I understand that everyone else is screaming for it too, but... Mouse/Keyboard!

Yes, I know the ingame hud

Yes,
I know the ingame hud is squished in the middle of the screen. I havent fixed that yet because I am still looking into the keyboard/mouse part, and both parts are connected;))
the funny part is that the menus are vert - but once you are in the game the hud is actually placed correctly. So If I shrink the menus I shrink the position of the HUD. that is why is moved in the middle;)) A easy way would be to disable the fix once ingame and have the hud correctly placed (in the original location).
Still looking at the posibilities.

But next priority is to find the how to fix keyboard/mouse;))

I understand that mouse and keyboard support is high on the list, but not been able to select weapons and abilities for me and my squad mates seems very important as well. In the first mission I have to give 'what’s his name' an order to use a bionic power. I am unable to do so, so can't get past that point.

the xbox 360 controller support is there. on LB you have the weapons on RB you have the abilities

on the left of the screen should be the icons for the left squad mate on the right of the menu for the other squad mate on the bottom for you. Just look at the tooltip. and you will see:) I know its not that easy to use it..
That is why I am looking into fixing the keyboard/mouse support.
This shows it very well:

That video helps. Have never play ME with controller, so was confused. So RB is abilities. After selecting them with the left wheel, what button does what exactly? Just clicked on most of the buttons and my teammate used an ability, not entirely sure what I did.

Basically:

1. You open the menu (keep the button pressed for the menu to be up).
2. Select the ability (keep the stick on that ability)
3. Press A button to "cast it" :D

Ps: Still looking how to fix the keyboard/mouse to the new locations....

I am using the Origin version

I am using the Origin version (a real one) and tested the fix: unfortunately, the multi-monitor functionality crashes and does not work for me:

When I activate the widescreen fixer, on the title menu, it crashes. And if I wait until the game loads a gameplay sequence, it does not correct the fov and crashes when I go to the menus.
It may be linked to the fact that I use a Radeon 7970.

I retested this morning that the game does not crash when I am not using the multi-monitor fix and that widescreen fixer does not crashes other games on my PC (tested on modern warfare 2 and 3, Sonic generations).

The xbox 360 support works.

Bad luck for me :-(

Did you properly Configure the plugin? Select the plugin. Press the cog; Disable Autodetect and put your values inside for Standard and Corrected Resolutions:)
Let me know how it works;)) It shouldn't crash the game... I am curios if this works for you!

I retried and I cannot manage to make it work.

The game crashes when I go to menus and the fix does not change fov in gameplay even if Widescreenfixer sees the game running and the fix enabled.
I checked and Mass Effect 2 is not installed in the Origin default folder. Do you think that it can be an issue ?

Hmm.. I have the same Origin

Hmm.. I have the same Origin 1.0.2 version. The problem is not the installation location. Are you sure you are using version 1.0.2? I see no other reason the fix would not work...
Either that or your Os make a different memory map. Are you using Windows 7 on 64 bits?

Hmm!!! French interesting;)) Can you try just "for fun" to install the game in English??? Maybe there is a localization thing and the memory map is different because of this;))

Ahaa!!!

Found a nice part where I can manipulate the coordonates of the mouse! Now I all I need to figure it out is how to do it dynamically :)) But this brings us one step closer to achieving the goal;))
If I manage to do this then we will have fully navigable menus (with stupid mouse selection instead of key ENTER ...ffs)

You are getting there!

Edit:

Just played for a couple of hours and noticed some bugs which aren’t game breaking, but I thought being thorough wouldn’t hurt:

- When upgrading or customizing armor and such, you can’t see you character (because of zoom in) so won’t know what the end result will be
- Tooltips tell you to press the keyboard instead of your controller
- Sometimes the bodies of teammates disappear. You can only see the heads floating around. It seems this happens when they move in front of each other or in front of an object. They reappear when they move around.

Yes , the models in the menus are still zoomed in - probably will be the last thing to fix.

- Tooltips tell you to press the keyboard instead of your controller.
Tooltips are still from the keyboard. This I believe can be fixed but it will be pointless once the keyboard/mouse will work;))

Yes I noticed this. Nothing I can do really. It is because of the fov which is not the default 70 degrees one. I noticed that this only happens in certain locations though...

Thank you very much for the input!! the 1st and the 2nd one will go away once the keyboard+mouse will work;)) The 3rd one I don't think I can fix. Its the engine's own doing...

The galaxy map appears to be broken. The labels of planets/systems are out of place, which means that it is very difficult to reach your destination. This problem makes it hard to get anywhere.
