Yes I am aware I need a new desk :-P I've got a bunch of Best Buy gift cards so my next purchases will be a wall mount, a G15 keyboard, and a decent desk :-P

There is NO WAY I would have my box sitting on little table like that. Otherwise nice screens.

My speaker's aren't anything that special, so I was too lazy to take a pic.

The TV stand actually is suprisingly stable. The desk is too small and the floor would get it horribly dusty :-P I'll be correcting that soon tho.

For the TV. And...

IKEA Desk

Biiiig desk. I'll probably get having a buddy help me go get it. Damn box won't fit in my ride :-P

Destructo...very nice gear! I also dig the katana...or is it a wakizashi?

What size is that westy?
Do you do all your computing from that sofa?
If so...how? surely that keyboard tray doesn't slide open another few feet.

I'm very curious as I was thinking about going with a similar setup, but worried I'd be too close to the screen while sitting at my desk and don't really have anywhere else to keep my mouse/keyboard.

edit: duhh..took a closer look, and it does look like that tray/desktop slides quite a bit. nice.

Looks short for a katana. My guess is wakizashi. And now I am waiting to see if I am right or wrong. Maybe it is something else :D.

Quick question... are you the Thin J from way back in the Gone Gold forum days? (and more recently ConsoleGold/GamingTrend)

Sorry about the months late response, but yes, that would be me :)

Setup changed here recently when I moved my computer to it's own little seperate room:

The next big change is going to be either a 32 or 37 inch display for the computer. I'm leaning towards getting a 37 and moving my 32 incher I already have in as my gaming monitor.

The katana is a replica of the sword used in the Highlander TV series... 42" long. The sword in front of the 37" Westy is an old military saber. :)

I can pull my futon up to use with the slide out keyboard tray or open it flat (it unfolds into a full sized bed) and work from there. I've been toying with the idea of getting a rolling laptop stand (looks like the food trays that roll up to a hospital bed) to hold the wireless keyboard and mouse so I can really lean back... for now I just use them on my lap.
