Yeah we grok that part. We need to look at how to do that. It isn't as easy as putting a few sentences in our materials somewhere, and there are other things we have to take into consideration. Not business things, but "vision" things (as in where and how do we want to influence the future of visual immersion). I have something in mind for Christmas 2015, and I need to figure out how to get an entire industry there. The future is bigger than you think.
I read something about first holodeck coming out in 2016? :D You also mentioned this a bit in one of your earlier post if I recall. :bowdown
His desire to do this wasn’t born out of pure lunacy, Carrell does have a goal in mind. Within the next 6 years he wants to have a first generation holodeck operational. A first generation holodeck would be composed of a 180 degree hemispherical display with both positionally and phase accurate sound. We’ll also need the pixel pushing power to make it all seem lifelike. That amounts to at least 100 million pixels (7 million pixels for what’s directly in front of you, and the rest for everything else in the scene), or almost 25 times the number of pixels on a single 30” display.
Seem to be a fair few problems with this
First time i installed it, it had the correct AR and FOV for 5040x1050, but forced it to one screen, just like Clear Sky sometimes :?
After a reinstall, it booted up the game fine to my maximum resolution available(inc bezel compensation, although i dont use that on my desktop)
But if i try and change my resolution in game, it only brings up 4:3 resolutions, regardless of what AR i choose.
Plus the mouse lag is horrible in this game, i have to use my 360 controller which i dont like..
Pity it can't be pretty much flawless like ACII.
I tried the fix last night and it still doesnt work, I will reinstall the game again from scratch and re-patch it tonight and see if that helps...thanks for looking into it though much appreciated :D
Your Monitor AR is 48:10 = 4.8 (so 5 should be ok).
Assuming that actual gameplay is as pillarboxed as the menu ;), did you:
-patch the game to v1.03
-set the config file to Read Only
-try modding the config file in C:ProgramDataUbisoft
:?:
Yeah, SC doesn't entirely enjoy being forced into surround as performance went down the drain for me too. Even worse was that the mouse became rather inconsistent, making aiming a whole feat in itself.
Although, the latter issue may have been SoftTH related and i should probably get myself a hardware solution already.
Im running fine here around 30FPS all maxed AA8xMSAA + AF16x, with one GTX 480 at 5040x1050, the game doesnt support SLI. SC Conviction is a blast on triplehead.
Hey I just tried Splinter Cell Double Agent and it works with NVidia Surround (could not find anyone that had got it to run before), wanted to play it first before I tried Conviction...was quite surprised!
