Next weeks patch could change all this ...
From the patch notes ...
-Implemented a toggle for switching between widescreen (16:9) and full screen (4:3) in the Options|Performance|Advanced Settings menu
http://www.projectorigincommunity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7446
what does that mean? does it mean native 5040x1050 support? o_0

Exactly ... who knows ... not even a mention of 16:10.

I still think we can get it working today if racer_s uploads his nocd.exe somewhere :)

the patch would definitely help with getting triplewide working, seeing as it moves the letterboxes if i read that correctly.
here is my exe:
[removed link]
doubt that is the problem though
edit: paddy could you upload the demo fix somewhere? I think I lost it  also it might work for others. Those screens look nice, I turned off motion blur and HDR and it was still blurry, maybe it depends on the scene.

Here is the fix for the demo ...
FEAR2-DEMO-FOV.rar
Start the game ... on the main menu atl-tab out ... start the fix ...
Set it as follows ...
left 0
top 0
right 5040
(your horizontal rez)
bottom 1050
(your vertical rez)
Go back to the game and start the demo.
Turn off Motion blur and HDR to remove the pixelization ... it does come back at times when certain effects happen ... like slo-mo.
I can't get the full version to work with Racer's .exe either ... the game junks out to desktop.

Thanks all, for expediting my decision NOT to buy this game!
I mean that sincerely. When makers of console games do sh*tty ports and don't look after us PC gamers, I boycott the game - my own little protest

Yay ...
It appears to be fixed ... :surroundsmiley
After the update via Steam ...
In the graphics settings ... Options|Performance|Advanced Settings menu ... at the bottom ... turn OFF Widescreen and all seems good in TH ...
TripleHead ...
16:10 ...
5:4 ...
Unfortunate wording means that you have to turn OFF widescreen in order to get what I would call true widescreen ...
Now it might actually deserve that gold certification !

Great news. When are they gonna learn ?  If the next patch could remove forced Steam activation, I'll gladly buy the game right away despite all I disliked in the demo...
Big kudos to Racer_S for trying ! Now leave him alone, he's gotta work on Shaun White Snowboarding :hide

Get lost. Shaun White Snowboarding is not only "anamorphic, just like Assassins Creed" - it's based on the very same engine. And doesn't require a Steam account for a change. :P SWS FTW !
