Seems i fixed it by manually going thru the aspect ratio 10 at a time, finally reached "0.2080" and it works fine now, the screen still is trying to change, but its changing to the same size as the other size its trying to change to, so im seeing no difference
i was running 5040X1050 incase anyone else is having a problem at that resolution

I have tried many variations for the SoftTH.cfg, but the only way I can get the triplewide image is to:
Launch the FovHack, Launch the game, press * in game
Note: The picture will not be triplewide yet. But now the FovHack is enabled in memory.
Close the game (Alt+F4 works well) but keep open FovHack.
Relaunch the game and triplewide is enabled properly.
.
Thanks for the tip. I am using TH2Go and before I followed these instructions my black bars would not disappear. I am using 1.02 of Assassin's Creed on Steam.

I dont know if im stupid or what, but I cant get this thing to work.
PC - Core2Duo 2.16
8800Gt 512
three 19" Dell Ultrasharp monitors
Matrox TH2Go
Running 3840 x 1024
I launch the game in either DX9 or DX10 and the first thing I notice is that the menu screen doesnt span all the way across the three monitors. Then I move the mouse and it doesnt move the full menu. only about 1/3 the way up and 1/3 way down. But I can move across the full width (of the shortened screen). My version is 1.0.2.1
[Main]
FOV=1024
wFOV=3840
R=3840
B=1024
that is my config file...any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you download the FOV tool in the first post of this thread?

I downloaded that one and then I found the updated one that Racer_S did for the 1.02v.
Aspect: 1 (didnt know what to put it at)
Left - 0
Top - 0
Right - 3840
Bottom - 1024
Version is 1.0.2 86610
Im running the Dx9 version because thats what the FoV hack said to do...
Forgot to copy in the new Config file
[Main]
FOV=10000
wFOV=1000
L=0
T=0
R=3840
B=1024
v=1
those are the settings in the new config file with 1.02fov hack. I was able to get it to stretch across, but its vert- not horiz plus on the menu and the mouse still is limited how far it can move up and down

For 3840x1024 you need to set it like this ...
Aspect: 0.2659 (same for any 3 x 5:4 res)
Left - 0
Left - 0
Top - 0
Right - 3840
Bottom - 1024
All in the first post of this thread ... :wink:
There is more info there too ... you should read it ... :wink:
Use the arrow keys on you keyboard to navigate the menus as the mouse is unable to move the everywhere ... :wink:
For those running 5040x1050 you need to set it like this ...
Aspect: 0.2056 (same for any 3 x 16:10 res)
Left - 0
Top - 0
Right - 5040
Bottom - 1050

Uh ? I was expecting different values here... Not too sure how you'd calculate that number anyway.

Ah ... yeah ... wrong number for the 3 x 16:9 ... sorry ... :oops: ... fixed ... :D
The values are approximate ... using the + and - keys of the NumPad.

You didn't get it right. This is not a fullscreen hack... just a FOV hack... ;)
It corrects the horizontal field of vision in Triplehead and won't remove the top and bottom black bars. On your non-widescreen display, the game takes place in a 16:9 area inside your 4:3 panel, hence the black bars. In TripleHead the aspect ratio is much wider than 16:9, so the black bars just disappear.
The FOV hack has nothing to do with it, blame the game's 16:9 anamorphism. There will be no patch as this is how the developers intended the game to look. :( You can always contact Ubisoft and tell them how you hate to pay for so many black pixels...

You can use it to get fullscreen.
[url]http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/8841]
There is some aspect ratio value it is actually the multiplicative inverse value of the ratio.
So 16:10...
1050/1680 = .625
and 4:3...
768/1024 = .75
and so on.

What would the right value be? I'm about to finally load this game.

I tried using the latest version aFOV3 but the game crashes once i activated it by pressing *. I used aFOV2 and set my aspect to 0.75 , right 1024 , bottom 768 and i didnt get a fullscreen. It's as if nothing happened but when i press - the screen stretches wider which makes it looks worse. I can't seem to 'stretch' vertically. any ideas?

Hey, glad I was wrong. That tool can really get rid of all black bars ! It's a bit tricky but it works :
-set the FOV hack tool before you launch the game.
-enter your resolution's values in the "Left" (width) and "Top" (height) boxes, NOT in the "Right" and "Bottom" ones.
-set the slider to these values according to your AR :
for 4:3 use 0.075
for 16:10 use 0.625
-the game will directly open with no letterboxing, so you shouldn't have to press a single Numpad key.

scavvenjahh, i've done exactly as you said but for some reasons it won't work for me. i opened afov3, launched the game (dx9) and i get in the game i still see the black bars. I played a bit with the figures to put in the top,left,right or bottom but it all ended the same. I can somehow stretch wider or narrower by pressing - or + for version 1.00.79336, no matter what figures i input in the top,right,left,bottom but won't stretch vertically. As for version 1.02 either i get a blank screen after i launched the game or the black bars remain. Should I just give up. -_-?
