Nice rig Urban. Looks clean and neat on the desk.

Just need to sort out the mass of wires under the desk!!

I've just fit a 10 socket surge protector under the corner section of the desk which protects plug sockets, ethernet and phone lines, so many wires going back and forth that its a complete mess!

You're not the only one. I think most people have a complete mess under their desk.

How can you run 3 screens anyway?

My current graphics card has a VGA, DVI and SVHS output, i've got a convertor for the DVI out to make a 2nd VGA, but where would the 3rd screen go? Onboard graphics?? :S :?

If you don't game, there are lots of possibilities - dual head cards = two screens apiece (if you have twin X1900XT's in a system, you can use 4 Dell 3007FPWs! - and even game on them!) Then PCI graphics cards - OK, so they aren't going to be gaming quality, but they'll drive 1920x1200... ;) You could potentially have 4x 3007's and 4x 2405's hooked up to the same box...

So having 2 pci-e cards but not running them in SLI would mean being able to run 6 outputs potentially i guess? 4 Monitors and 2 TV outputs.

PCI-e SLI is pretty new stuff to me, have only used AGP personally and pci-e for basic system builds

This is a pretty old shot (november 2004 looking at the calendar), but the desk has been too much of a mess to take a new shot. This was back before I had the Dell 2005fpw, and a stand for the Powerbook.

One of these days I'll get the office cleaned up for a new shot.

Does anyone have a link to that pic someone posted (I believe it was in the 3007 thread but I can't find it)
It had the new dell 30 inch monitor with 2 2405FPW's in vertical positions on either side...it was amazing!
(they might have been 2005's, not certain)
