Great job and thanks to Helifax and Hayden. Compelled me to post here just to say that!

BTW, I am currently using Helifax's trainer for 5760...it works great, save for the switching back and forth between modes for maps, etc. but that is a trifle.

However, I remember reading Hayden's post stating that his fix was working without any issues...just wondering if I am missing how I would get a hold of it? Was I mistaken, he did declare if complete and working, so where do i go to get it??

I am new here so maybe completed fixes are posted somewhere else and everyone already has it?

Try here: http://widescreengamingforum.com/dr/elder-scrolls-v-skyrim/en

I'm not sure if it's completed, but that's where it would be.

HaYDeN is still working on it, he has fixed everything but it takes some time to test it and finally build a new version of the app, dont worry, as soon as he actually finishes it he will post in this thread, another way of checking if the new version of his fix is out, as this thread has lots of posts, is by checking the game's Detailed Report, all information will be posted there as soon as available, under "Multi-Monitor Specific Solution", you can find the version of the fix thats available to download ok ?

Skyrim .ini tool

^ I just found this little gem... Makes tweaking the .ini a lot easier to do when fiddling with the little details!

Great find. Thanks for the share.

I am not experiencing any Crashes or SLI Problems... and I am working on a GTX 590 in 3D Surround...so....I don't know what the problem really is..and yes everything is set on Ultra....

For the people that are interested in playing the game with stretched hud (if there are any) I have found a workaround for reading books.

Steps:
1. Fire up the game.
2. Fire up Cheat Engine and attach to the game.
3. Go to "memory view", select a any "line" and press CTRL+A.
4. In the Auto assemble window paste this code:

Code: Select all

   alloc(newmem,1024)
   label(returnhere)
   label(exit)

   newmem:
   mov edx, [0018FC84]
   mov [eax+10],edx

   exit:
   jmp returnhere

   "TESV.exe"+D3D7CC:
   jmp newmem
   nop
   returnhere:

5. Hit Execute.
6. Use the provided trainer to select between stretched HUD or Reading books ("-" key to Stretched HUD, "+" key to change to "book reading mode" prior reading a book)
7. ALT+TAB and play.
8. Two trainers are included:5040x1050 & 5760x1080 : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=MVAU8T8P

What you get:
- All the menus are functional, including map, level-up, etc
- Loading screens are working properly
- Items preview in inventory IS STILL ZOOMED (I am still looking into this)

HaYDeN's fix is working for me. I am able to play and I have now done so for a few hours. My frame rates are great, no crashes, no sound issues. The first thing I did when exiting the game was to send a donation fo Flawless. Thank you all so much.
I do have a few questions:
1. As I cannot read books I also cannot see spells to learn them so I assume I should just go back to 1920 X 1200 for a short time to read and to learn spells? Right? Am I missing something that will make them readable? I really have no issue going back to a single screen for a short time just to do the reading and to learn spells.
2. Do I turn off my Ultra-Wide Fix Version 1 when using my computer for other normal stuff (like Excell, Outlook Etc>) or is is not active when SKYRIM is not playing or shut down when I reboot?
3. What do I do to go back to normal resolution for a short while, just change the ini file? Do I also have to change the fix settings?
THANKS AGAIN, You guys are really impressive.

@Baer:

1- Next version of HaYDeN's solution will fix books at multi-monitor resolutions, helifax has a solution that fixes it, you can check this thread for it.
2- You can close it and run again only when you'll play the game.
3- You should set the offset resolution (your resolution divided by 3) always when you start HaYDeN's fix, by default it reverts to 1920, if you play at 5760 youre always ready to go.

Thanks. all works well

Thanks for the quick reply. Now that I have played with it a little I see how it works, I was able to switch back to one monitor and learn the spells and read the books just fine and then go back to full surround with no problems. The first time I enabled it I just went "Wow" and then played for a few hours 8)
I am looking forward to the next update but it works just fine right now and it has made the game very playable. As I noted, no crashes, all is smooth with all settings maxed except AA.
Amazing and impressive.

Thank you

A very special thank you to HaYDEN and Helifax for taking time out of their day to help us all here. What a wonderful community and glad to be a part of it.

Yes, I had the issue to.

If you click the moues you can adjust where they are looking and you can get them looking downish. It's not prefect, but it works well enough.

If worst comes to worst, disable the fix and run the game on a single screen, create, save, log back in with multimon.

Though, I couldn't be bothered.

For us playing on multi-monitors, our shadows are pretty garbage..

The fShadowDistance in SkyrimPrefs.ini effects the quality of them greatly.

The HIGHER the number, the worse they look. It is a BUG that Ultra settings put this at 8000. Yes the draw distance becomes huge, but they look absolutely horrible and blocky!

Play on one monitor with this setting at like 1000. Shadows look amazing and sharp! Leave it at 1000 and they look better, but not nearly as good.

I found the best comprimise is about 2000. WHile still not as good looking as on 1 monitor, they are a hell of a lot better than the "ultra" 8000 setting.

Also changing the iShadowMapResolution (there are 3) to 4096 improved them, but the distance made the biggest difference.

Thanks for the heads up, changed it and yeah it looks good, and it no longer has pop in shadows over the mountains. Also not sure whether it's related but after I did this, I also haven't had any texture corruption. So cheers...but it still crashes at random times :-/

right there with you on Spyle311's fixing shadows. I fixed my random crashing issue with the Large Address Awareness info that someone posted earlier, and then I put a link to a program to do it. (I only have 3 posts, so just look at my post history). Hope the Large Address Aware fix works for you!

People at Bethesda's Forums are having improvements with their gameplay with the patch.

Also, thanks for the fShadowDistance=2000 tip, trying it now. A small handful of posters on other forums found success with tweaking that value down.
