Any idea whether Hayden is gonna update the Flawless WS tool for the v1.3 patch game version? (Retail/GOG)
I really hate CDPR for having such a good game and then only supporting nVidia Surround, bot not Eyefinity :(

Email to Flaweless Widescreen
I sent an email to [email protected] to see if they have any plans to update in response to the 1.3 patch for Witcher 2.
I'll leave a post if I hear anything back.

nVidia moneyhat "the way its meant to be played", remember Assassins Creed 1? nVidia forced Ubisoft to remove Direct X 10 support because at the time only ATI cards supported it. :(
Dont believe me? : http://techreport.com/discussions.x/14707
Yeah, actually it was DX
Yeah, actually it was DX 10.1, which was not supported by nVidia.
And yes, my question was rhetorical... :(

Well I've managed to play in portrait eyefinity since launch. I think its because of the whole fixed 16:9 thing. I've been using 3240x1920 (3x1080x1920) as a resolution. The aspect ratio of 27:16 is between 16:9 and 16:10 so I get a very slight black bar. If its possible I'd actually encourage you to try it in portrait mode because the game as an amazing since of height between its castles, forests, mountains, pits, towers and flying enemies. It's prob my favorite game for portrait eyefinity rather than landscape, the game world feels a lot less real and just flat if its not in portrait mode. Then again outside of shooters I prefer most of my games in portrait eyefinity.
still nothing? I've purchased
still nothing? I've purchased this game a while ago but was waiting on my second 6950 to play, now I can't. I still can't believe how it works with nvidia when there's really no difference.
The official The Witcher
The official The Witcher forums are finally up and running.
So I thought I rise a thread about this topic in the official forums... http://en.thewitcher.com/forum/index.php?/topic/22241-nvidia-vision-surround-support-but-no-eyefinity-support-why/

CD Projekt basically said
CD Projekt basically said they never said they were going to implement support so they don't have to. Hayden is there any chance you can fix this?
Well I'm sure this won't be
Well I'm sure this won't be of news to any long time members, but I posted an explanation for why they're full of it:

Either they have really terrible internal miscommunication, or Nvidia is blocking them from supporting Eyefinity. The only other approach I can see at this point is trying to go to the "gaming media" and getting some exposes, maybe stir up something about Nvidia anticompetitive behavior.

I can't believe these mongrel
I can't believe these mongrel bastards (nVidia) are allowed to get away with stunts like this, this is the reason I haven't wanted to touch nVidia products for a few years now (can anyone say Assassins Creed)
Anyone know what happened to
Anyone know what happened to Hayden? He's "offline" for more than a month now...Did he abandon the community??

I blame CD Projekt for not doing anything to fix it.
Still no proper
Still no proper Eyefinity-support, months after release. Just thinking about how long it took for some basic non-16:9 support was really disappointing, especially for a game that was supposed to be developed for PC's.
Lack of Eyefinity and the horrible stuttering are two sad blemishes on a game that otherwise actually was quite nice. After reading the previously mentioned thread at the official Witcher 2 forums, I got the feeling that we never actually will get the support since CDPR either doesn't care about AMD-users or is forced by Nvidia to not give us Eyefinity. Since Surround is supported, it shouldn't be much work, if any, to add full support for multi-screened setups.

Antec Mini-P180, Corsair AX-750W, Asus Rampage II Gene, i7 920, Noctua NH-U12P + 2x Scythe SlipStream, Kingston HyperX 12GB, X25-M G2 80GB, 750GB HDD, Radeon HD6970 + AC Accelero Xtreme Plus, 3x HP ZR24w in Eyefinity, Filco Majestouch-2 (CherryMX Brown),
Hayden?
I agree that it sounds like the developer isn't going to be doing anything in the near future to fix this issue which is unfortunate. Our only help would be someone in this community. I know Hayden had originally starting working on this through the 1.2 patch but it looks like he abandon the project since he's been offline for over a month and the flawless fixer website he created is down. I'm hoping he'll return to fix this otherwise it looks like we would have to uninstall the game and only play version 1.2 if we want eyefinity.
Patch v2.0 has been released
Patch v2.0 has been released today... Anybody tried it yet?
This sounds promising.

An option has been added to the configuration tool enabling aspect ratio to be set independently of resolution.

I just tried it. Didn't do anything for my Eyefinity-setup. The picture is still on the middle screen with black bars either on the top/bottom or the sides depending on the chosen aspect ratio.
Tried it with Witcher 2 patch 2.0 (obviously) and 6048x1200 and all aspect ratios (16:10, 16:9, 5:4 and 5:3). I kind of feel like there is a 48:10 and 48:9 missing or something.
I do hope anyone else get any better results from this patch.

Apparently the configuration
Apparently the configuration utility adds a line AspectRatio=x to the User.ini file - I wonder if playing with values of x might let you set it to a value that the utility isn't showing?
I tried EvilMatts
I tried EvilMatts suggestion.
As soon as you set the value of "x" to anything other than 0-4 like 5 for example you get a black screen when you start the game.
We need to figure out which file these values are being read from so that we can manipulate the file and set the proper aspect ration for triple screens.
Anyone know how to read from the DZIP files?

Did you try a negative value
Did you try a negative value like -1? Sounds odd, but Theif: Deadly Shadows opened up options with a negative value.
