I'll link to the download but gladly remove it if there is any issue with linking to it.
If anyone would like to make a patcher themselves, here are the details :-
Offset: 0231ED5C Search pattern : B7 6D DB 3E 55 55 15 40
First time for me to use an hex editor. It workes in 3440x1440. The quotation marks in the pattern are not to be changed. After edit the other figures and saving I could finaly change the aspec ratio from 16:9 into 21:9!! Thank you very much for your time! Thank you Wintermance!

Hey, can you help me please? I need a fix for AC Liberation 3440x1440, but I have a pirated version (Yes, I know it's bad). The fixes you sent earlier don't work, I think because I have other files. (Screen: https://imgur.com/a/L3n9g9j)
I can replace it myself in HEX Editor just I need to know what strings to look for and what to write

S.J.Hoon wrote:Hello guys. So I've been enjoying the game on 2560x1080 thanks to the great Wintermance, but the cutscenes were still in 16:9.
However, I just found out that if you pause during a cutscene and resume back in, the cutscenes become ultrawide. I don't know if it'll work on other resolutions, or even if it'll work for other 2560x1080 users.
If anybody has the time, could you please check if it works? I hope this information can lead to a fix, and until then, may it be a temporary solution. (I pause whenever a cutscene is about to start and resume right back in and it's almost perfect.)
So I've been trying to pin down what causes the cutscene black bars to go away after a pause but I've had no luck. It looks like "ACIII.exe+22BFB60" represents the horizontal value of the aspect ratio when in cutscenes but when you change that from its default 1.7778, it ends up stretching the in-game UI too. You can get around it somewhat by offsetting the UI back to the center but then you have a centered but stretched in-game UI. Not really an ideal solution when the pause trick preserves the correct aspect ratio for the UI and widens the game aspect ratio for the actual cutscene.

Hey thanks for giving me hope! Im trying to just edit the ini file but it wants a number for the aspect ratio... im thinking 2 is 16/9, so 3 should be 21/9?

Okay so they released a small update and all the old widescreen fixes won't work anymore I had a backup of the old modified exe and game runs with it but for some reason it is now frame skipping, not sure it is related to the old modified exe/game update.
UPDATE: The frame skipping part was fixed by using fullscreen, but more testing is needed

Goddamnit. And here I thought the update might bring ultrawide support... Thank you for your tests!
EDIT: Umm I don't know why the fix doesn't work for you anymore, but I applied the ultrawide patch again to the new exe and it works just fine.
For some reason it didn't work for me this time and I immediately blamed the update for it. Maybe the game update didn't replace the old exe and I tried to run it again for already patched exe. Good to hear that it is working fine!
Thank You "jackfuste" !!!!!! I think every employee of Ubisoft (over 12,000) should know the name "jackfuste" !! Why??? Because he can do singlehandedly what all of them cannot!!!!! PROVIDE ULTRAWIDE FOR THEIR GAMES!!! Thank you jackfuste again. I don't know why this is so hard for Ubisoft to do.
