destruction fully in alpha?, lot of things wasn't there,
they tested a lot but a ton of things and besides, with planes and such you wouldn't have any houses left after a few minutes if you could bomb it all.
destruction makes BF3 the best fps shooter game ever.
without it, its the second best.

Lol they just announced BF3

Lol they just announced BF3 won't have server browser and MW3 will have dedi servers.
Have fun playing some game at 30 fps without server list and with nerfed destro, and with preorder people who get exclusive guns that you can't get whilst I will proceed to pwn in MW3 at 90 (hopefully 120 if they unlock it) fps with my dedi servers.

The ol' saying goes: Don't feed the troll.

Rather than instigating a flame of CoD vs Battlefield, can we just stick to the topic on hand?

If any of you recall, BFBC2

If any of you recall, BFBC2 didn't have CrossFireX support even when it was in beta. Considering that the BF3 alpha was intended to focus on netcode/battlelog and the beta will focus on graphics/stability/etc., I think it's safe to say that performance will be going up significantly between now and when the game is launched. Something like HUD scaling is likely not even close to the top of their list of priorities at this stage.

Also, yeah, don't feed the painfully obvious troll.

I posted a thread in the BF3

I posted a thread in the BF3 alpha bug forums about the problems with eyefinity that have already been stated here as well someother little glitches I found with the game. Not sure if anyone commented or not on it since it was the last two days of alpha when I posted and i'm sure I was just one of maybe 10 people playing with eyefinity.

Looks to be another console

Looks to be another console port http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ElPP5BFi9Wc
If they didn't have the name of the platform under each screen I couldn't even tell which one was PC and which one is console.

BF3 + Origin and more

More good news (from article and posters actually participating in the alpha):
- BF3 will in fact require Origin
- The game must be launched via internet browser
- The game will require an EA browser plugin
- Switching servers requires exiting the game to go back to the web browser
- Origin pops up to deliver ads during game launch/loading

That pretty much squelches my interest in BF3. Great surround support just doesn't provide enough counterweight.

I fail to see why any of that is bad.

It's bad in their mind

It's bad in their mind because BF3 is now too popular for them. Anything that has such mainstream appeal becomes the new thing that's cool to hate on.

This thread was created to discuss how BF3 copes with multi-monitor gameplay in the ALPHA test. Seeing as that is no longer being discussed, and the ALPHA test has ended, this thread will be locked.

If you wish to talk (in a civil manner) about BF3 generally, that can be done in the General Gaming Discussions forum.
