Just Cause 2 to have Multi Screen support out of the box
Re: Just Cause 2 to have Multi Screen support out of the box
Thanks for that command, much better :)
Re: Just Cause 2 to have Multi Screen support out of the box
Ughhh, now if only someone could figure out how to fix the HUD?
Re: Just Cause 2 to have Multi Screen support out of the box
The game is LOTS of fun. And it seems to run much faster in Eyefinity than the demo did...
However, the hijack prompts are still not shown when using EF :( I've been able to get it with pure luck once, but it'd sure be nice to steal the buggers. And the skydive/chopper mouse sensitivity is still WAY too high and in no way matches the on-foot and other mouse controls.
HUD is still on side displays, which i dun mind too much.

Re: Just Cause 2 to have Multi Screen support out of the box
Wish I would have looked at this thread first.. Just bought this game on steam, but the game runs horribly when I run it in windowed mode (less than 15 FPS) and use sizer to force it to 5040x1050, but it runs at 70+ in fullscreen with 3840x1024, but it looks terrible and stretched. Is there any way I can improve the performance? I have a EVGA 295 GTX (with a TH2Go) on Windows 7 x64 Ultimate.
Edit : Messed with some settings and disabled the shiny windows 7 themes, got it to an acceptable framerate. Also, I found that using a program called Shift Window is great for running this in windowed, it re-sizes the windows perfectly so it appears its running in fullscreen!

If we need to do some lobbying for the QTE events, let me know. A newsletter will be going out soon. I can make that a topic.
Re: Just Cause 2 to have Multi Screen support out of the box
I am actually impressed with this game. When I first started playing it I was kinda  and dissapointed I pre ordered it. 7 game hours later I am hooked on this game. I also spent 45 minutes dieing when attempting to high jack a vehicle. I didnt realize if you were using eyefinity at 5040x1050 the qte's were not on the screen. Graphics are pretty but even with 2 5870's I am not hitting 60 fps consistanty.. not even close really. At 3850x800 I am getting pretty much 60 but it looks like a 360 game, soo I didnt spend 3000.00 dollars to play something that looks comparable to a 200 dollar console.. Kidding aside (sorta) I am happy the devs made a pretty game that even at triple screen res (with disableing a few things) the game runs quite nice.
Just hope we can figure out the qte problem.. but honestly it doesnt seem to bothering me that much.

Even on 1080res with a lot of stuff turned off it looks much better than the 360 version dwanna.
My performance is great, just V-synch sucks, massively slows down the game. This has been happening a lot lately, I assume because there is no v-synch on consoles? I don't know.

Re: Just Cause 2 to have Multi Screen support out of the box
My ONLY complaint is that this is one of those games where v-synch costs you a lot of frames... seems to jump from 30 to 60 and back again without much room in between, and I hate tearing, so... arg.Maybe this will help ... I'm not sure as the game hasn't unlocked yet here in the UK and I haven't got the demo installed now.
Set the max fps to 60 ... along with turning on v-sync.
In the "set launch options" for the game add ...
/frameratecap=60

Cool, I'll try that. Even limiting to 30 would be fine for me, I'm playing with a gamepad anyway.

Re: Just Cause 2 to have Multi Screen support out of the box
60fps cap does nothing to help but a 30fps cap solves all the issues. The lower framerate is indeed noticeable even with a gamepad though, so I shall have to experiment to see which is worse for me.
Thank you though Paddy, nice to have options!

ohh, I've been looking for a program like this forever, closest thing I found was a program that I could manually remove the title bar and border from a window then make it bigger, but the in game UI would always have the wrong coordinates for its elements (so you couldn't click on them where they appear on screen..).. thanks for the tip

I wish there would be a trainer that disables the QTE completely
Re: Just Cause 2 to have Multi Screen support out of the box
If anyone has a somethingawful forum login, gibbed and bolo are active over there (guys who made the mods so far). I could view the threads the other day but it's locked now. They might be able to help.

Indeed, it's pretty lame all around, triplehead or no.
