I noticed a bug with Bezel Compensation (BC) in Dirt 2. When you set the BC resolution 5284 x 1050 BC doesnt work. When you set the normal eyefinity resolution 5040 x 1050 BC works. If you minimise while at 5040 x 1050 when BC is working and go back to the game BC is off again.
tested using the 10.3 pre (8.71) driver.

Bezel Management is awesome! I am new to triple monitor gaming but I heard someoen say that bezel managment only matters for simulation games. I could not disagree more. I kinda knew what bm was but wasnt completly sure how it worked, this is the final piece to my eyefinity puzzle now I am golden, everyting is working fantastic.. well expept crossfire, eyefinity, and v-syncing games to 60 fps but other than that :cheers :rockout

I temporarily got bezel management to work by switching my Dell 2707 (flanked by a pair of asus vw266h - and all 3 are 1920x1200) from the 5870's DVI to the DP/DVI adapter. I switched it while the computer was on, and CCC id the Dell as another vw266h. Bezel management became available.
It worked until I reboot the computer. Then CCC correctly id the Dell as a Dell and bezel management is gone again. Oh well, at least I get to try it out. And if I want to use it again, I'll know what to do.

I only tested it with Xmen Origins Wolverine today, it worked. Had to manually edit an .ini file with the new bezel managed resolution.
I kinda wish we had the "cliping" method like the TH2G and that it could be toggled on/off with a key combo just because then you know its 100% compatible with any game that supports eyefinity with no need for new resolution support (like in the case of Xmen I would have to edit the .ini every time I want to use a different resolution, so if I am not using bezel managed mode and boot into the game it will reset to 800x600 or what ever)
The other reason is because if you have an important HUD element or icon, text, anything behind the bezel but its only temporary (maybe game options menu) you want to toggle it off for a moment to see that but then turn it on again when playing the game. Plus lower resolution = better frame rate.
I wonder how bad playing at 6004x1200 is going to hurt my frame rate vs 5760x1200.
Anyways, any sort of bezel management is a good thing and I am not complaining, just hopeful that they dont stop here and try to make it even better by adding the for-mentioned technique in addition to this one.

same here , did not work indeed ,did hear sound but no image.
but for me the most important , FlightsimX, works like a charm.
did also play operation flashpoint, and that works fine to.

Did Crysis today with the new intermediate bezel managed resolution it was a low enough resolution to allow the game about 30fps average on all High in DX10 but still thats just not quite enough to be good since there are parts of the game much more demanding. The next lowest resolution is like 600pix vert and thats just too low...
But the first intermediate resolution looks great, just as good as the full 1920x1200 to me. I am enjoying bezel compensation I think I prefer it on when a game supports it.
I hope I have a full open day to break out my wheel and play some Dirt 2, its been a month since I have played.

For Dirt 2 if you alt tab the image comes back on 1 screen then you can keep changing resolution until it doesnt go blank and BC is on. Bit of a hassle but once its set it looks nice.
Aliens vs Predator and left 4 dead 2 works well also.

How awesome is this! Bezel management AND full screen gaming on all 3 screens.
:cheers
Has become the new standard on all my customer computers now. Bezel management was always important and most (all) customers went for the Matrox solution, but this is even better.
Thanks for the video tutorial!

This was confusing. When I set it to 5xxx x 1050, the game screens would not have bezel management working, but when I would set it back to 5040x1050, it works full screens with bezel management.
:nudgenudge
Works in the end so I'm happy.

Here is a video I took today of Dirt 2 with Bezel Compensation.
I finally have a camcorder :D but my little cell phone sized Vado HD is a far cry away from a real camcorder.

I posed the question about the triangles and asking why ATI decided to use them. I received this reply from one of my contacts on the driver team.
We looked at existing solutions and did a lot of research on what would make a good pattern, including color choices, etc.
It was important that the final “pattern” work on both vertical and horizontal edges and that we could focus the users attention on the 1 specific edge we were trying to calibrate (which is why we don’t use a photograph).
The choice of yellow on black is because of the very high degree of contrast this creates (more than white on black) – think police tape.
Ruling out diagonal lines (or the X shape, which is the obvious choice) came as a result of the Poggendorff illusion (Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poggendorff_illusion, This site has a really nice Java applet that describes it http://www.cut-the-knot.org/Curriculum/Geometry/Poggendorff.shtml) .
The triangle gives the compromise of having a diagonal line without inducing the appearance of miss-alignment (the very thing we are trying to correct).

My Bezel Management Option doesn't show up either. Wonder what causes this.
Got two HP LP2275W and one Belinea 102035W.

Its beauce we have diffrent brand monitors.
The Brand names decided to include the bezel in the EDID size so that they are all diffrent, Bezel managment wont work with diffrent sized monitors
IM SO PISSED OFF AT IT
Even though all are 1920x1200 24" monitors lol

Sorry forgot my old username, been a while since i was posting on these boards. so anyway......
I have 3 x Dell 2209WA monitors, all identical, i have 2 connected via DVI and 1 connected via a DP-VGA adaptor.
I had to spoof the EDID on the VGA connected monitor to get the resolutions to work, and as such my Bezel Management will not work.
looks like its now the time to either get a P2210 or a active DP-DVI adaptor

I know it's not exactly the same, but I am usinga pair of 2208wfp , with a p2210. Bezel management works fine, the pixel pitch is identical for those (and also for your 2209WA). I didn't have to edit EDIDs at all.
of course, the p2210 is TN, which might bother you. But it should work.

Does everyone else have to wait as long as I do when enabling Eyefinity profiles? I tiemd one and after The click it took about 20 seconds to finish.
Click, monitors off, on, off, on, blank, off, on, blank, filled, drawn.
Or some sequence like that. This is from a primary, and two extended display setup. Going back is much faster, but often the monitor arrangement goes out of whack. I end u[ having to load that profile once more. Luckily, reloading the current profile is pretty fast and I never have to load it a third time.
but then, these ARE beta drivers, and the first version that lets me load profiles at all and is the first to have BM. (hee hee)
Interesting response the the yellow triangle method.. though I think there's a better solution out there. But damn, they had better keep the BM functional in the future. I'm so used to it, I'd go nuts playing without.
