Just an example to those whom it may interest:

Windows XP pro. + 2x 768mb 8800's = ~3gb of ram

Technically I should have about 2.464gb if I just substract it from 4gb.

True it's been a while since I've been under xp32 so I may be off by a bit. I don't remember ever having less than 3gb though, regardless which config I've had in this rig.
