Huh, can't even get the game to work under 5040x1050x57 without the hack...

The game just goes to a black screen after the developer vids at the start. I'm just going to assume it's my 8800GTs, and hope that when I get my GTX 295 in that things will be different... :(

I am getting the same issue as Mach1.9pants. The performance goes to shit and it letterboxes like that when I tell it to go to 3840x1024. The res looks wrong as well (doesnt even look like letterboxed tripleres, just something else entirely).

This happens regardless of wheter Racer_S's fix is going or not.

does this work for 19" 4:3 monitor(1280x1024 native resolution)? i'm sick of this anamorphic screen thingy.. i set the aspect to 0.75 (i use 1024x768 in game) but not quite sure what to set for the FOV. I got huge black bars instead when I put 0.75 aspect..the game is unplayable as well. The weird thing is the game did run in full screen when i first played it. Can anyone tell me what's wrong?

i cant play for long in TH, it crashes too much.. ive yet to find a solution, but i did experiment a bit

i was hoping a patch would fix this but it didnt

if you force the game to load some bit at 1680 (or whatever point it doesnt mess up) rather than 5040 it should fix it, but its difficult to find

Meanwhile, if you're looking to break your game a little bit more, try this in TripleHead !

I am unning @ 1920x1200 with 1.01 patch and the Racer_S 1.1 FOV hack. Whenever I enable the hack, the screen goes totally white if I am actually loaded in the game. If i disable the hack the game goes back to normal.

You could try just playing with it until it looks good.

Use the keys that are shown on the fix and just mess around with it untill you have something that looks decent.

Just got the game. The FOV hack causes a nasty CTD whenever I enable it
v1.01, WinXP, game res set to 1680, no AA. Is there sth I should try ?

I did : the game then crashes right after the logos, before the main menu is displayed.

Yo bud ...
The first few times I tried it I got a crash to desktop ... for me it was caused by too much AA (nothing to do with the tool).
I don't know what to suggest.

1680 single screen ?
I haven't been able to get it to remove the bars for single screen resolutions without it messing up the graphics at the bottom of the screen.

Hmm, actually it kinda works if I select v1.0... That's odd. Maybe I messed up somewhere while experimenting with nocds and deleted the wrong (right) exe  Thanks for the assist anyway !

The enlarged FOV feels much more natural to me, I don't feel like my nose is scraping against the walls while climbing anymore :) Too bad for the letterboxing, ah well.

Heck, at least you can play it at triplewide...

I can't even get it to start up at 5040x1050 at 4xAA... I can at 2xAA, but the entire game runs like crap if it's not at 4xAA for some reason...

Oh well, it's still kinda fun on one screen...

Great job on the hack!!!!!!

Menus ok ? All the time ??

Besides poor performance, I'm getting strange artefacts in 5040 : objects flickering, Faith's hands seem to be rendered in doubles... so it's not very playable at all. I wonder if the blur or lighting gets broken at that res, or if it's just my rig crying for mercy :?

Anyway I'm playing mostly in 3x1280x800, all options maxxed, AA 4X and PhysX on. Graphics may not be so crisp at that res even on my 19" panels, but that's my favourite settings for ME in TripleHead so far.

Working well 5760x1200 with the hack. Lots of issues, crashing ultra low frames till I turned off AA.

With AA off I am over 30fps outside and in the 60+ range inside.

I have some flickering similar to tearing that I cant get rid of even with vsync on but its not game breaking.
